McCann heading away supposedly? I honestly think Trim will be very close this year, 4/5 big improvements from last years squad!

We'll see what Kiltale are made of this week.

Not on the field I mean.

They made a big issue about the Brendan Davis Cup last year.

Lets see how they react to having to play a championship match with C'O'Sullivan and the Ryan twins.

Will be really interesting to see their attitude to this.

Completely agree, young Quigley is dynamite and a real positive to the panel. Magee doesn't miss too many. A fit Toher could be influential. Then the County hurlers will be back. Definitely will be a strong challenge.

I think I did hear that Mc Gann is off travelling for a year. Have to wait and see?

They wont be the only club playing without county footballers i wouldnt think?

Big squad so wont be a issue for them , other teams dont have the squads to cope with them standard of player missing , they do in fairness.

Will longwood have lynch and burke? they cant afford to be missing those kind of players

Imagine kick fitz tried block lads playing football championship
bit of a joke this is allowed happen
are clubs going to object to playing without them?

Trim kilmessan friday will be a cracker

There'll be one Kildalkey forward in particular who'll be sleeping a lot better knowing Ronan Ryan won't be playing.

Kildalkey should be winning this with Kiltale missing so many.

Lynch is suspended from last round of hurling last year. I would assume burke will be playing as he hasnt been involved with footballers. killyon will likely be playing without Flanagan.

St Colmcilles and St Patricks? Lots of working going into promoting hurling at underage level in East Meath.

Related to the Chronicle topic.

All Kiltale have to do is not play against Kildalkey.

They would have GAA law on their side and would win any possible appeal from the awarding of the match.

Brendan davis Cup obviously was more important.

What has bd cup got to do with this?

They are allowed into senior champ
They were not allowed into bd cup

Not sure what point you are trying to make?

Champions impressive. As they liked tonight. No resistance. 6 is more than possible.

The only solution is to split Kiltale in 2!!!!

After watching Kiltale last night; Reagan put up 1-8, McGann was inspired. Others stepped up to the mark for the missing players. They were in cruise control, didn't have to break sweat. Wont be beaten this year.

Ratoath / trim is who kiltale will be worried about

Mayby kildalkey should try a game outside of navan for a change?

Ratoath or Trim could beat Kiltale but they would need a lot to go right for them and Kiltale need to have an off day.

Any predictions for rest of this weekend's SHC?

Killyon V Longwood
Lynch is suspended for Longwood I believe, but even with him I'd fancy Killyon. Big pitch in Rathmolyon will suit Gannon, Mullen and Smullen. Killyon by 4

Trim V Kilmessan
Won't be much in this but Trim's forwards are a bit stronger than Kilmessan's which will be the difference. No Toher for Trim but will be interesting to see how much of an addition all these minor winners will be for Trim this year. Kilmessan might not get out of this group Trim by 5

Ratoath V St Peter's, Dunboyne:
Dunboyne look to have gone back and Quigley is a huge loss for Dunboyne. Ratoath performed well during the league even with missing a glut of players to the county Ratoath by 6

Navan O'Mahonys V Boardsmill: An early relegation decider with both sides missing key players from last year - rest of the summer will be an uphill struggle for the loser while the winner will have a bit of momentum and will look to take a couple of scalps. O'Mahonys too reliant on Jack Walsh so Boardsmill to squeeze this one Boardsmill by 2

Na Fianna CLG V Blackhall Gaels: I don't see much between these teams at all and they are best placed to upset Trim or Kilmessan. The likes of Johnny Meyler can keep Barry Slevin quiet so think Blackhall with their 3 county men will win BHG by 3
