Replying To MillerX:  "You stated "ref will not have seen it".
Well he must have seen something because suspensions and fines are proposed. So you must have been wrong to make that statement."
Ref 100% didn't see anything as game was continuing on
This a witch-hunt

Suspensions and fines given. What more do some people want from Meath CCC?? Let's get back to playing and talking positively about Meath hurling, club and county.

How can we talk positively about meath hurling when the kangaroo court exists
The facts remain that this has not been dealt with in a way that you could have confidence in the process

You know as well as I do that the moderator won't publish if names are named at this stage until the appeal process is complete. But you make the whole episode out as if 'anything goes', that no law or order exists at all in the county.
Now we all know that the disciplinary process involves a series of different steps where due process applies. Some posters on here demanded a kangaroo court type process that would eventually be ruled out of order AGAIN, most likely by the Leinster Council. So nobody should blame the county board when they are following the proscribed steps.

The point is that the county Board have already handed down their verdict with sanctions and that is where the problem is , it is them who have made this a farce, anyone could see that the process was completely driven by a vendetta,
I've been an Ashbourne club man for many years and now a proud Ratoath man and this type of thing really looks bad on how our games are run

Like I said, it is a process, with the option of appeals along the way. If you are not happy with your treatment then off to the Leinster Council.
The reason I got involved at all in the debate is to point out that action was taken by the Co Board when many posters on here suggested that the events of the day would be swept under the carpet and covered up. The County Board did act and still people are not happy.

Well to be fair MillerX this has happened before with Kildalkey. They'd a game with O'Mahonys last year that was abandoned and swept under the carpet.

The semi finals were re-fixed once they'd to face Kiltale (didn't work out too well v Trim). They were the only club in the county to get the week of the Galway races off. I could go on.

Seems funny that the game hasn't been marked as null and void on the Meath GAA website. Both teams have only 5 played while everybody else has 6. That would suggest it's going to be replayed, but then it's not listed as an outstanding fixture. Anyone any light on this?

head4dblackspot an Ashbourne club man who's now a proud Ratoath man. I've heard it all. Have you got your Dublin Jersey for this years drive for 5 or will you just wear your Man City one?

If you read last years hurling thread you will see any number of reasons to believe it would be swept under the carpet , much like the bredan d cup match again o mahonys , and any other number of incidents
People are not making these stories up, these things have happened.

All people want is same rules for every team

Is the game null and void now i take it?

I don't agree with that!
I never played football for the club I am attached to. However, I have been an active member for over 30 years, involved in coaching, fund raising and various committees. My 3 children have played for the club at every age group and my two sons are now part of the Senior panel. When my current club plays the club I grew up with I support my current club without question! There are plenty of people around the county who are managing and playing with clubs they didn't grow up in!

Totally agree
I grew up in one club and now have two kids representing Ratoath and that is where my loyalties lie

I have made several attempts to get past the Moderator on this thread, but here goes again. I arrived into Ratoath's ground having completed the Tour de Meath cycle event that morning (well done to the organisers).

The match had just started when I heard what I believe was the shout that started the ill feeling. It was disgusting. The match was still on when I left but I was not surprised to hear that it wasn't finished. I wonder if the person who was responsible for that shout was one of the three sanctioned?

Yes can we just clarify once and the all that there is only one H in Ratoath, the Dubs introduced a second H as a way of trying to mark their territory and attempted to make it sound like a place in Dublin by pronouncing it "Raaa Howth", please let us not have the name sullied on this auspicious forum. As for the game I have not heard the finer details nor was I at it but needless to say it's a shameful carry on which I'm sure will see heavy punishment handed out, a game being abandoned can not be brushed under the carpet"
Nothing official yet i guess, heard lots of bits from different people, lots of sponsors involved between county team and club competitions senior football, davis cup and junior hurling, we await with bated breath on what happens if anything"]So what's the problem there were bans given out full stop , is that not the end of it ? I'd wouldn't think either club will appeal. I don't like when clubs keep appealing cases , better to just take it and move on . I'm not too sure how that amahonys v Kildalkey davis cup game finished. I thought it was played to the conclusion with a few sendings off alright . Surely there would have been proper suspension if they were straight reds sure it all goes into the refs report. Why would refs not report things like that ? Sure they would be struck off the ref panel. There were neutral officials at the game because it was neutral venue

Think everybody is sick of this at this point but just few things

rumours of suspensions - nobody can confirm this - with such hefty bans you would think it would be confirmed by chronicle etc , anybody in county board i have asked knows nothing about this.
If ref didnt see it then how can they ban anybody?

Is the game being replayed? can they play last round of league games with this outstanding ?
Could be crucial to kildalkey to play this if trim beat them

Its all very strange
Nobody can find out any concrete info
All just rumours
