Supposedly dunsany player walked off due to an injury and dunsany had no subs and was already playing 13 a side so the referee abandoned the game. 6 months suspension because game was abandoned. Scandalous in my eyes.

Should have been carried off, then nothing could have been done to him, health and safety. Also maybe it was not reported to referee as an injury.

Any player or team leaving the field without valid reason can be suspended for 6 mouths (24 weeks) tough but it's a rule.

Amazing how the ref got the date right though. Fair play to him.

Haha this is ridiculous. Any other clubs would be thrown out, giving a fine and a suspension. Meath Hurling will never change now to see how the fixtures pan out for the year in teams favours.

Kildalkey and Rathoath can count themselves lucky if this is true. Both clubs should be thrown out of league at very least.

Why should both teams be thrown out?? This was an argument between two managers and both sets of players had nothing to do with incident, so why punish them? Just replay the game! Some really daft and disappointing posts on here. I assume CCC will deal with incident fairly as neither club have any influence on this committee and both clubs will accept fault and take their punishment and get on with league and exciting championship again.

I dont think anybody wants anybody thrown out or anything like it, well they shouldnt anyway.
Its more how its being delt with by the powers that be , and how would it be delt with if other clubs were involved?
There wont be any punishment , thats the point you are missing.
By the look of it the clubs were not fined which is normally standard punishment.
Everybody said when this first arose that it would be kept on quiet.
Its the double standards that annoys people.

Have the CCC interviewed both clubs yet?? They might also have to talk to referee and then make decision, this all takes time. I think people are so negative towards procedures that Countyboard do, sometimes rightly and in this case wrongly. Let the CCC deal with it and not have negative, false info and false accusations flying around this topic, it's not good for Meath hurling.

I should also say any other club in meath also , would be thrown out if it caused this bar the one involved.
Every version i have heard has only blamed one club.
Ref will have not seen it im sure.

But its just coincidence that they are always involved in these events , games getting abandoned that nobody hears about, suspensions that disappear, fixtures suit themselves , draws of a favourable variety etc etc"
So you were wrong.....AGAIN

Suspensions and fines proposed for both clubs. So action was taken.

You stated "ref will not have seen it".
Well he must have seen something because suspensions and fines are proposed. So you must have been wrong to make that statement.
