Replying To 3edgeofdasquare:  "where has the idea that Oldcastle have a great record against Trim come from? Trim beat Oldcastle by about 14 points in 2016 in Navan. Oldcastle beat Trim in the 2017 1/4 final by 7 or 8. That game was level with 10 minutes to go. Neither of those games will have any bearing on the semi final as both line ups look fairly different"
Oldcastle have beaten Trim the last 4 times the have played each other. I still think it will be close but Oldcastle have beaten Trim twice in 2017 and twice in 2018 and did not play each other in 2019 as Oldcastle is Div 1 with Trim in Div 2.

Winners of Oldcastle Trim game will win it, Oldcastle hitting form at the right time and Trim are capable of anything on the Day, Castletown should scrape through but will fall short i think, saying that they have been excellent this year after last years horror show but just lack that little bit of class that win big games.

I am surprised the fixtures for the semis have not been released yet.

What do people think - a double header in Navan Saturday week or two double headers each with one of the senior semi finals?

I'm not surprised unfortunately. The CCC are a shambles and have been for a long time. I can't wait to see their ground breaking fixture plan for next year since it's the first thing they remind people of after one of their regular gaffs takes place.

i would't put much stock in Trim's league performances. They rarely have anything close to a full team out.

Summerhill have tweeted to saying they are playing in Navan on the Sunday at 4, however nobody else seems to have gotten a fixture.

Trim v Oldcastle - Oldcastle by 4. Think Trim are hitting form at the right time showing great metal to overcome DB in the last round but I also think Oldcastle will have enough to limit them if they play anything like their first have performance suggests against Dunderry.
Castletown v Nobber - Castletown by 4. Castletown playing well and easily overcame Meath hill in last round with plenty to spare whereas Nobber used up all their luck to scrape past Walterstown.

Will Oldcastle be able to cope with the FF line of Lynch and Douglas? Not too sure if they will.
Same with CTown, Jordy Morris, similar player to Lynch of Trim, can be a handful for Nobber and will cause CTown problems.

Replying To highking12:  "The only dreadful howler here wasnt from the referee but from the Ballinabrackey player lashing out after he had won a free and losing his team a man when the game was in the mix.

The linesman had signaled to call the referee back to an incident where a Ballinbrackey player had struck a Walterstown player. As the linesman had called it the referee is perfectly entitled to recall play to the point of the foul.

To be more specific on your point there is absolutely nothing in the rules specifically stating any score cannot be ruled out so id like to see where in the referees hand book you got this

Also to then say you could object to the result of a game and look for a replay is laughable, rather than blaming the referee maybe have a look at your clubs discipline as that is what cost you the result."
Just to inform you red card was rescinded and officials admitted they got it totally wrong after video evidence !

Replying To boeder:  "Ah Lutch, come on, I know you are a Bracks die hard but surely you can be honest here. The Walterstown player clattered Carroll and he won his free. He popped up and swung for the Walterstown man connecting with him in the face then proceeded to take the free in which the Bracks point came from. The linesman put his flag up straight away after the incident but the ref did not see it until the ball went dead. He consulted with his linesman, gave the red card, disallowed the score then brought it back for a hop ball correctly in my opinion. If the ref and linesman had been mik'd up he would have been able to tell the ref straight away but he didn't see the flag up until the ball went dead as I said. This is what the neutrals seen and what the video recording will confirm."
Red card rescinded and apology from officials after video evidence as i predicted

Any opinions on how The Old Firm Rusty Tiernan Derby will go? Talking to lads from Castletown at work and they said they would get a statue of Rusty Tiernan in the village if they win the intermediate.

He has done a great job this year and will probably be scouted for senior clubs next year, saying that they won't win the mattie, i fancy them to make final but trim or oldcastle will beat them IMO.

I would be surprised if his home club Wolfe Tones aren't looking to get him in for next season.
