No matter who wins this year they will struggle to survive next year in the Senior ranks but that is next years problem. Castletowns turn around from last year is remarkable, just shows what can be achieved when the work is put in and there is a clear plan, still cannot see them winning it though, Don't think they have the pace when things get very serious. Would have thought Oldcastle from the outset but they seem always liable to follow up a very good performance with a terrible one. They were shocking against Meathhill. Dunderry always there abouts and with Simon Carty returning along with Paddy Kennelly that could prove exactly what is needed. Think themselves or Oldcastle are best equipped to win it but would not be putting any of my hard earned down.

IMO if Trim can play for 60 mins they are unstoppable at this level!
Still think ballinabrackey for champ though!

Trim are too inconsistent for me. dunderry and castletown are not good enough.

bracks have tough journey and will be hard beaten, very open but oldcastle for me.. if scully stays fit.

The bracks hav had to win there last 3 games to stay in the championship so effectively hav been playing knock out football which I think will stand to them

Failed to beat Trim who apparently showed up for 30 mins of the game, hard to fancy them.

Rusty Tiernan didn't show his hand against Trim, same as when he played the Bracks in the league before the decider, very astute manager

Fair enough comment but Castletown have already taken care of the Bracks in knockout football so I'll stick with them.

I don't think any teams are "not showing their hand" at this stage. Castletown have a great record this year but Division 3 football and knockout championship are different things. They could well win it but a big improvement on their last 3/4 performances is required

From what I see in the report Trim didn't even play Douglas who is by far the best footballer they have, former county player. Talk about not showing their hand...

He won't from now on, he's getting the balance right waiting in the long grass for the Bracks.
