It wasn't a clear strike if you knew anything. You tell me if it was a clear strike, or a closed fist on the player. Why didn't he give Clonard a free, he didn't he gave a hop ball. So therefore as you say with the ref and the appointed linesmen they were wrong. So ramble in.

On what basis was it overturned if the referee already consulted so many officials? The_Ripper (Meath) - Posts: 158 - 16/04/2019 16:24:55 2179151 Link 0 |
The talk coming from carnaross during the week was that they were disappointed that Paul lynch may not been playing as the wanted to play moynalty with a full team..as they wanted to beat them with a full team . I believe the quote was .. doesn't matter if they have three Paul lynches..we will still beat them onionboy (Meath) - Posts: 32 - 16/04/2019 18:40:48 2179175 Link 1 |
A second team could also win it, if I am not mistaken Dunshaughlin's second team gave Ballivor a real fright last year. With 18 senior and 16 intermediate teams plus 2 second team intermediates above Junior it could happen again.

He hopped the ball because it was a free to moynalty first and then he retaliated

My bad - was half asleep yesterday. Meath CCCC send out the suspension notices about a month after incidents occur so Moynalyty probably didn't get a suspension notice and therefore player is free to play until the suspension comes through. It's a joke of a system in that sense as players and managers don't know where they stand. Royal_Gunner (Meath) - Posts: 534 - 17/04/2019 08:30:44 2179220 Link 0 |
Royal_Gunner That's incorrect, A player can't play after receiving a straight red card. The CCCC meet after the first round and deal with all the suspensions. It is then E mailed out to the club. But I do agree Moynalty have a very close relationship with the CCCC . But to say they influence the outcome of the committee is not true. The referee sends in his report and states the category of the infraction. The CCCC then goes by that and that alone unless Moynalty had video evidence that clearly vindicates him. latouche25 (Meath) - Posts: 325 - 17/04/2019 10:07:38 2179238 Link 0 |
Having your man (forget his name but I got a lift with him years ago in his taxi to a wedding outside Kingscourt) that used to managed Carnaross on the line was worth a few points to Moynalty. He was in charge of the Ross when they made the intermediate final in 2010? He would know the Carnaross players more than anyone else. He masterminded their shock win over Kells nine years ago.

Carnaross would have been my favourites based on their league form but so far they have had a shocking start. UsernameInvalid (Meath) - Posts: 126 - 17/04/2019 19:12:02 2179345 Link 0 |
Were u at the match cause carnaross midfield winning lot of possession in first half might of lost way a bit in the second and I think full back only conceded 1 from play against lively full forward, the game hinged on the sending off 14 men in a big pitch in navan will test any team. From what I seen sending off looked extremely harsh.Carnaross forwards did look poor must admit but seen them against bective and looked really dangerous. Can't see Moynalty going anywhere soon they'll burn out come quarters, no championships won in April.

Seemed like youth won it for moynalty they had pace and power at the end the Ross brought on their experience players last 10 minutes this happened before in tailteann for them.you need to b able to keep running I seen few carnaross players fatigued at that stage. Wasn't a red card moynalty player jumped into the Ross players path. Harsh sending off. Reco (Meath) - Posts: 419 - 19/04/2019 17:25:27 2179597 Link 0 |
Thoughts after the second round, clann na gael had a big win,Vincent's back on track, ultans got over clonard, ballivor lucky against moylagh another big score by summerhill

Clann Na Gael look strong, they've a very quick team with a good physicality too. Didn't get to see the Ballivor match but I believe they scored 3 goals in injury time, Moylagh will be kicking themselves as they could've done with those points. Carnaross against Ultans next round should be a great match, anything less than a win and Carnaross are pretty much gone. Summerhill could very much be like Dunboyne last year. Although its very hard to tell with such a long break coming up.

Big wins for ballivor and dunsany , carnaross more or less out of it which is a big shock obviously. Ultans still don't convince me too much even tho there 3 from 3 and moynalty only scraping by to get points on the board so can't see them causing any upsets either . Anyone else at any of the game over the 2/3 days ? Joe_soap1 (Meath) - Posts: 24 - 28/07/2019 12:26:37 2217509 Link 0 |

Haven't seen Kells but can only imagine if there playing well they will lose some players to the seniors .. clan na Gael are still a bit young aswell so I don't think they'll be cute enough when it comes to the crunch.

Ur prob rihht on kells but pIrc tailteann suits running teams hard to track runners specially at jnr level.good teams still thrre b interesting month now.

Clann na nGael were missing 4 starters vs the wood and won easy. A town team that size should not be junior and they will be very hard stopped. Other group is competitive with any 1 of the 6 teams can still qualify. Summerhill and Kells 2nd teams are the 2 stand out 2nd teams. overthehill72 (Meath) - Posts: 334 - 29/07/2019 09:54:47 2217994 Link 0 |
