Replying To Loyalroyal17:  "For all of those who said last year, Graham Reilly needs to retire, he is past his sell by date, how wrong were you! The level of play from Biggy has been superb IMO the best he has played in the past 3 years.
The changes that have been made to this team, keeping lads on the bench as impact subs i reckon was the trick Andy and Co. have been keeping up their sleeve.
Sunday is going to be a very defensive game i would think, i dont think Fermanagh are going to let us have this one too handy but i reckon we should win this game clear of about 5 points."
Graham Reilly played nearly every game over the last 2 year so a rest was what he needed. New personnel prob noticed this so hence he is super sub.his impact is improving every game so let's hope he keeps it up.

Was thinking that myself, his fitness level seems to be up but this could well be because he is not playing the full 70mins. Long may it last...

Ahh some of them have agendas so it don't bother me. I view it as spineless tbh , I have respect for those who disagree with me and give a counter argument, as for thumbs down thing? I am actually disappointed if I don't get 5/6. And one of those work for hs so has a few accounts. Actually if I didn't get the thumbs down I wouldn't post as much. But knowing that I am annoying someone or some persons that much makes it all worthwhile. :)

Its important to get off to a good start especially against a defensive team. Dont let them get 3 points up it could tough to reel that back in and might lead to a frustrating day. We dont want to lose any momentum. Kildare made 14 changes against Galway a few years ago in the last match. and they ended up losing the Div 2 final. I dont think it helped in the long run.
Here's the team I would kick off with, according availability.

Andrew Colgan;
Seamus Lavin, Conor McGill, Ronan Ryan;
James McEntee Donal Keogan, Shane Gallagher;
Bryan Menton, Adam Flanagan
Cillian O'Sullivan, Ben Brennan, Darragh Campion;
Bryan McMahon, Michael Newman, Thomas O'Reilly.

Agree with this team, and the comments above, would rather keep the winning habit and take our chances next week than play a weakened team to hope that Fermanagh are the opposition in the final. Get the sense that we are building something and just hope that we can keep it going.
Biggy could well start, he has done well when introduced. I just done think that he has 70 minutes in the legs

I do not think that it matters whether a post gets thumbs up or down. If the tread had all the same opinions then it would not be worth reading. Posters should not take themselves or indeed anyone else too seriously. Rd - it could be a day for a very big snackbox!!

Always a good sign when the dubs are posting in Meath forum. A sure sign we are starting to suck diesel.

Heard the off the ball gaa podcast this week singing the praises of some of the Meath players, McGill in particular. Great to see a little bit of the spotlight on Meath football in the media it's been a long time since there was any good news. Sure I don't think a single league game for us was televised this year? And usually there would be at least one. Hopefully the team can get the job done tomorrow might even create a (small) bit of hype going into championship

Think that was Tommy Rooney, he is from Meath. Plays with Meath Hill.

He said in the last few years McGill has gotten injuries and that has stunted his development but I don't remember him missing many games because of injuries.

Last year McGill and Lavin were excellent but didn't get any recognition because we were playing so poorly. Most people in Meath know we have had good players in the last couple of years but things never went right for some reason.

In recent years we've seen players added to Meath panel between the league and championship, often from the u20s.

Are there are any lads we might expect to join the panel after the league? I'm thinking that just maybe one more scoring inside forward could be useful. What's the current status of Shane Walsh? Might Lenihan be back at any point?

Lenihane gone for the year as far as I know. It's the one position we lacking in, eventually teams are going to cop on to what we doing with Reilly and mirror it with a change of their own in halfback line when he comes in. Brennan has shown what a great player he is and dardis adds something however a Lenihan type forward is needed going forward. We need a inside forward who you could put the house on getting 3/4 points a game, like Flynn of years gone by, Conlon could very well be that player but I just don't know is it a year or two away yet.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if he does.

Is Shane McEntee fit?

Or will Adam Flanagan come in as replacement?

Think we need serious patience tomorrow.
