Is there a timeframe in place for when they pull the plug on ennis, or when fans are likely to be told what day? Theres a bit of organising in going down so making plans for the day at least would help

Yes Monday is the more likely day for it to be played

Jeeze id have reservations about Milltown holding the game. Id be expecting a decent crowd, between meath going well and Clare needing the win and being at home. Would ya get more than 2k around the side of the pitch there? Very narrow on one side and behind one goals, nearly only get people 1 deep

Replying To Evernal:  "This is an absolute outrage. How can they call game off with 3hours of possible drying? Every effort should have been made to play. My daughter is in tears beside me. Trying to explain to her that grown men are afraid to play in the rain.

It's not right that loyal Royals like myself and my daughter are treated this way. We left for Ennis with flags out the windows and kitted out in green and gold and we're now being laughed and sneered at because of no game. Disgustingly treated yet again by the GAA. Days like this make it very to keep going but we will head back and return tomorrow. Hon the Royal."
It's unfortunate evernal but there's nothing we can do about the weather, if the pitch is waterlogged then it's the correct decision to call it off, hopefully you and your daughter warnt to far down the road.

Hopefully it will be played on Monday. Thanks to LMFM, I only went on a wild goose chase of 200K. It could have been much worse!

Cheers Royal Legend look she's ok now we got a Supermacs and it never fails to give her a smile. Well we left at 7 made it down to Ennis only to find it called. Anyways the flags are still flying out the car albeit fairly wet!
We will return tomorrow or next day. Look frustration just got the better off me and to be honest if we get the 2 points all the hassle and extra expenditure will have been worth it.
Hon the Royal!

Only 80km of a turn around for me thanks to daughter checking Twitter. Got to say this was well flagged up and probably should have been called earlier before people left, I left it to last minute but decided to make tracks as roads etc wouldn't have been in great condition.

It should be now moved to navan two hours drive and a day lost at work.!! It was only a bit of rain if they Clare don't have a ground fit to take some rain they should lose the home game , it's not good enough calling game off a few hours before hand

It's due to rain today, tonight and tomorrow in Ennis so how's the match supposed to go ahead if the pitch is unplayable now. They'd be better off calling it for Limerick now as the hurlers are not playing this weekend. If Ennis is not fit tomorrow then what's the likely outcome?

Well that's the most obvious question.
If the weather is as bad, the how will pitch improve?

I wonder was it called of a bit premature ? It might have been fit to play at 4 of 5pm today. The weather forecast was for rain to stop around 12.

Hope the messing around with the fixture scheduling doesn't throw the team out of rhythm. Night in hotel etc.

Donegal should beat Kildare at home next weekend. Meath know what they have to do tomorrow. Focus 100% on Clare and don't get ahead of themselves. They will still need a result at home vs. Fermanagh.

Looking good IF we win tomorrow still a point difference between us and donegal, while we should concentrate on winning both games, hard not to think a win tomorrow should in all probability promote us. With point difference between the 3 teams
