Meath heading into a game as favourites...well my days, its been a while! Great for confidence of the lads. We will win this game and i reckon it will be by at least 4 points. The lads have their heads where they should be, we are well settled and fully confident in the type of game they can play. Missing Kane and possibly Brennan is a bit of a blow to the team but I dont see it been a problem.

With a bit of luck Mickey Burke (no harm) to him, wont be subbed on. There are a few young fresh lads sitting on that bench that are only too willing to give it their all out there. Mickey made a terrible mistake a mistake that someone with his experience should not have made, could have cost us dearly but sure look it didnt.

Favorites for fourth game running,, we were fav v Armagh cork and Kildare. So don't think that will bother the players. Or management, mcentee has them in right frame of mind.

If I'm honest I think all of Fermanagh donegal and Meath will win, this will promote Fermanagh, meaning we need a draw on last day.

I am not sure about that.

If all 3 win then meath at top of table so how can fermanagh be promoted on those set of results

Anyway I think Armagh will beat fermanagh and Donegal will win and the last round meath v fermanagh and Donegal v kildare will decide top 2 with kildare v meath final

I can't see kildare beating Donegal away in the last game. But good luck to them if they do.

If all three win, yes Meath would be top of the table. However Fermanagh would be the ones with promotion secured alright. This by virtue of the fact that even if they lost their last game v Meath and donegal won, they would be promoted on the head to head having beaten donegal before.

Can't imagine Kildare will get promotion, having already dropped 5 points they would need results to go their way plus a win up in Ballybofey.

Best thing that could happen for us if we win in Ennis is that Cork could draw or win v Donegal. That could see us promoted with a game to spare.

Fair enough, Ballyshannon so. Either way an away fixture against Donegal I would not fancy Kildare to win it.

Worst of all scenarios next weekend would be a donegal win and a Fermanagh draw. Would mean Fermanagh would have to win in Navan, and so would Meath. Must say it could easily happen, and we would be very unlucky to have secured 10 of 14 points and still miss out. Most years that would be enough to promote a team.

Although now that I think of it in that scenario a Meath Fermanagh Draw would see us both promoted. Maybe we could both park the bus and play out an entertaining 0-3 to 0-3 draw.

We need to sort out midfield Shane Mc Antee is not the answer maybe Adam Flanagan isnt either. But we need to address it. I would start Flanagan and see how he gets on. He is taller so can win kick outs or break ball, He is more accurate in front of goals, and a better passer of the ball IMO. Shane is more mobile and allot quicker, but over all, I think Adam has the edge. And is worth a start to see how he gets on.

A Colgan;
S Lavin, C McGill, R Ryan;
G McCoy/S Mc Antee , D Keogan, S Gallagher;
B Menton, A Flanagan;
C O'Sullivan , B Brennan D Campion ,
B McMahon, M Newman T O'Reilly.

I'm nervously excited about the last 2 games, obviously because we're on top but more than that I want to see how we handle the pressure of being in pole position (we haven't been in this position in the NFL too often of late). We've endured a tough 10 years, littered with second half collapses, early championship exits, the odd false dawn etc but nothing of any real substance.

Now I'm not for a second suggesting that we've turned the corner yet but we've had a promising start to the year and the next 2 games will hopefully see further progress.

Head to head with donegal is how they promoted, they can get beat out the gate in navan. They still will be promoted. Once they beat Armagh. That been said that game is no gimme

Have to completely disagree with you on this one bob. Shane McEntee has been exceptional all year. Probably one of our most consistent players

I think James McEntee is back for this game. I would have him in the half back line.

Think Shane has done enough "hoovering" (according to Mattie on LMFM) to say he deserves his place in midfield

Yeah, well If James Is back he goes straight back in that's massive boast for us, if continues is good form. I am not sure about " The hoovering" comment. There is other lads that can do that. Ie Mc Coy and got a goal against Cork dont forget.

Shane has been decent, But he dosent fix the midfield problem. Exceptional might be stretching it, Shane needs to cut out a few errors, before he can described as exceptional IMO.

He has been the better of the two makeshift midfield this year, and I don't mean any disrespect to Brian in that who has also been good. Flanagan was poor when he came on and tbh I would worry if he was recalled to starting 15.

I haven't been following Clare really, who are the danger men on their team? Need to know who to watch out for down in Ennis. I imagine there will be a big Meath following heading down the M7 next weekend

Huge I'd say. I know they have a good forward but for life of me can't think of his name.
