Replying To Jack_Goff: "We won't play Kildare in Leinster. Dublin will beat them handily if they over come Longford. If we play Dublin we'll be lucky to get within 10 points. The gap may be closing but it's still a huge gap." Fair enough but there is always a possibility of meeting them in the qualifiers.

I had a quick look at the table and fixtures list and I did up a quick update of the table and most likey scenarios. Until the last weekend where I have Fermanagh beating Meath, obviously I hope I am wrong but its going to be a tough game. So basically I noticed. It dosent make any difference if Fernamagh win or lose there next game. It all come down to the last game. And if they beat us they will go though on head to head. And if Donegal keep wining which I reckon they will the will get promoted with Fernamagh.

Replying To TakeYourPoints6: "Am I the only one who thought Cillian O Sullivan had a very poor game? Lost a crazy amount of ball in the tackle" Really?! He had a poor game?! Jaysus lad I dunno what game you were watching! He's a workhorse and he never stopped running. Pity other lads hadn't got the drive he has (bar McEntee who wasn't playing). He was in the full back line on more than one occasion helping out. He was our stand out performer I thought. He might of lost a bit of ball, but sure who didn't yesterday? AND, he won a lot of dirty ball as well.

Fermanagh and Donegal go up because of head to head wins" We must beat Clare first and take it from there . A lot of changes can take place between now and the end of the league but I expect Meath and Kildare to get promoted . I think Fermanagh will loose both their last two games and Kildare will beat Donegal on the last day to go up with Meath .

Unless there is a typo and they meant that it was a Fermanagh win that they were speculating.

I taught Donegal and Fermangh would go up on head to head, But now I hear score difference comes in play. If 3 teams finish on same points, Not the head to head rule.

Fermanagh and Donegal go up because of head to head wins" Think you are saying Fermanagh win the game against Meath? If Meath beat Clare and beat Fermanagh we will be on 12 points - even if Fermanagh beat Armagh and lose to us the best they can do is 10 points. Bottom line we win both games we go up! It gets complicated if we lose one of the two remaining games especially if it is the one against Fermanagh!!

I'm going to go out on a limb here , but if we beat Fermanagh we get promoted even if we get beat by Clare (once it's not a huge score difference) if we win v Clare and get beat by Fermanagh we stay put assuming donegal win both of their games. Everything hinges on the Fermanagh game in navan. Let's pack it out bring flags banners or whatever. Promotion is ours if we beat Fermanagh. That's my reading of it. If we beat Clare a draw v Fermanagh is enough. But it all hinges on Fermanagh game. That's my reading of it anyway.

If we want to play in Div one next year and compete in that division , I don't want to disrespect any county but we have to be beating the likes of Clare and Fermanagh simple as . This Meath team have grown a pair of balls yesterday proved that over the last number of years we lost all yesterdays type of games that result will only improve this team . Let's finish this league with 12 points and bring home a long overdue piece of silverware from Croke Park at the end of it all .

There's also the possibility we draw against either Clare or Fermanagh. Right now I'd back meath and Fermanagh to beat Clare and Armagh and both get promoted.

If Meath, Fermanagh and Donegal all finish on 10 pts then Score Difference decides who finishes 1st and 2nd, the head to head rule only applies where two teams finish on level points.
