The best of luck to the hurlers and management I hope it is a great weekend for Meath both in the hurling and football. ALLGAA32 (Meath) - Posts: 57 - 19/06/2019 15:42:58 2197629 Link 0 |
I would consider ratoath a better side than trim by a fraction and i think the fact that trim in the b group wont do them any favours when it gets to knock out , both those two teams are getting stronger every year and its great to see

If i was to rank the likely winners it would be; 1 Kiltale 2 Ratoath 3 Kildalkey Trim probably next but will still have work cut out because NaFianna and Kilmessan make for a stronger B section than last year. Clan na nGael for the Intermediate but one of second teams Kildalkey or Trim could go very well showforit (Meath) - Posts: 145 - 19/06/2019 19:56:06 2197719 Link 0 |
Foley91 I totally agree why is he Refereeing this game. For several reasons 1 he has not refereed all year. 2he manages a number of these lads. 3 these teams are in the same division as his own club. Never before have I seen this and I'm a long time looking at hurling. latouche25 (Meath) - Posts: 325 - 19/06/2019 22:12:21 2197779 Link 0 |
Are Rathmolyon's "brand new dressing rooms" in addition to the ones they built about ten years ago, or are they the same and I just have a different definition of "brand new"? CastleBravo (Meath) - Posts: 1391 - 19/06/2019 23:45:12 2197801 Link 6 |
He is a good ref for sure and we are very short on refs in the county But if he is going to ref why has he been appointed a game in a group with his own club involved ? Very strange , any of the senior b games he could have done or inter group a hurlit (Meath) - Posts: 312 - 20/06/2019 14:09:31 2197974 Link 0 |
So what some posters are trying to get at is that he is going to try to influence the game somehow to help his own club?? Tobefair80 (Meath) - Posts: 30 - 21/06/2019 08:29:46 2198204 Link 0 |
I have already said he is a good ref. Whilst he is the county manager it is more the fact he is actively involved and is on the sideline for kildalkey games. Surely common sense would have been to give him games in the other group. Foley91 (Meath) - Posts: 339 - 21/06/2019 10:26:25 2198238 Link 0 |
Best of luck to the hurlers tomorrow. Huge day for players and clubs involved. Theheinoking (Meath) - Posts: 109 - 21/06/2019 14:12:17 2198298 Link 0 |
So is it the fact that hes Meath manager or the fact that hes a Kildalkey club man? Also hes not a selector with Kildalkey as far as i am aware so why would he be on the line. Agree that it would have made more sense to give him a game in the other group but it looks like county board dont trust their other refs to take this game.

What relation is Nicholas Potterton to Pat Potterton ? bdbuddah (Meath) - Posts: 768 - 22/06/2019 19:38:27 2198652 Link 0 |
I think you're the deluded one. He has not refereed a game all year. How can you access his ability as a referee. There are plenty of games he could have done not one in his clubs group. As for the comment about strong referees. Martin Bartley,Conor Ferguson, Gerry O'Brien, could have done this game. I don't see them down for any game. The reason he is getting it is because the man appointing referees is from Kildalkey latouche25 (Meath) - Posts: 325 - 23/06/2019 13:32:07 2198934 Link 1 |

The youngest Nicky & Pat are 2nd cousins. There fathers Nicky and Patrick are cousins. Nicky and Pat (RIP) were brothers.
