Yeah from what I hear he's out. He's repeating his leaving so can't really blame him for prioritising it before football I suppose.

Best of luck to Pats Navan in the quarter final this weekend against Marist Athlone. Be a tough one but hopefully they can keep the good Meath underage momentum going LeitrimRoyal99 (Meath) - Posts: 833 - 14/02/2019 14:23:27 2165328 Link 10 |

8 point win for Pats. Great to see against the beaten finalists of last year. Naas won it last year and are absolutely flying again so I'd say they are favourites for the title. Great to see the Pats doing well all the same. Haven't been in a final since 2013 and 1 game away now. Would be a great sign to back up the two Leinster under 17's LeitrimRoyal99 (Meath) - Posts: 833 - 16/02/2019 16:01:26 2165701 Link 10 |
Pats look the real deal this year. McBride , Hickey and Lynch are massive talents at this level. Meathmaverick (Meath) - Posts: 95 - 19/02/2019 10:34:10 2166307 Link 0 |
Sean Brennan in goal too, an excellent goalkeeper

Pats playing Wicklow combined schools on Saturday at 2 in Abbotstown. A massive chance for Pats to make the final for the first time since 2013. That team had James McEntee, Niall Kane, Ruairi O'Coilean and Barry Dardis so hopefully, this team has potential Meath seniors on it. It would be really good for Pats to get there and continue the momentum going with Meath underage football. LeitrimRoyal99 (Meath) - Posts: 833 - 28/02/2019 13:45:45 2168883 Link 9 |

the county board on their infinite wisdom have decided to play a challenge against Derry on the same day as round 5 of the league. This totally downgrades the league and puts the players under undue pressure. Challenges should be fixed but not on the same day as the league. meath87889699 (Meath) - Posts: 38 - 03/03/2019 19:37:12 2169824 Link 1 |

It has been said here before many times - but the league is really treated as a second tier event! A lot of teams are already without County Players (both Hurling and Football players) and have been for the first 4 matches of the league. Clubs who don't have county players are in the best position in the early stages of the league. I haven't seen the 20's panel so I don't know what teams are impacted most by the challenge game. The questions I would have - - do the 20's actually need a challenge game at this time of the year? When does the 20's championship start? - Can the fixtures of the clubs with players playing in the Under 20's challenge games not have their fixtures moved? - Can the 20's not play their challenge games on the appointed times for their training? (I believe they train Tuesday, Friday and either Saturday or Sunday?) ASaminthehand (Meath) - Posts: 292 - 04/03/2019 10:02:56 2169999 Link 0 |
