So with Meath u20's back training and the u21 championship coming to a close who will be on this panel? Any new faces? Can they win a Leinster title? Who wants to try pick a starting 15.

Had a panel for this team a few months ago. My team would look something like
1. Andrew Beakey/Sean Brennan (I'm undecided)
2. Robbie Clarke
3. Ciaran Slavin
4. James O'Hare
5. Sean Ryan
6. Liam Byrne
7. Adam Murphy
8. Daithi McGowan
9. Cian McBride
10. Connell Ahern
11. Matthew Costello
12. Sean Martin
13. Luke Mitchell
14. Shane Walsh
15. Jordan Morris.
Very strong team with a really good subs bench to add to that

Strong Team for sure . I would have Cian Rogers from Ratoath in it along with Dixon from Boardsmill. Another 2 for me would be Aaron Lynch from Trim along with Sean Raffferty from Na Fianna.

Lynch a good player but too many good forwards ahead of him. I'd have them 6 I listed as starting then on the bench Cian Rodgers, Saran O'Fionnagan, Conor Frayne and Cathal Finnegan

I've seen lynch numerous times and he's ahead of 4/6 of them forwards, I'll let you decide who. This lad was close to intermediate footballer of the year!

Don't think young McBride is ready for U-20.

No not for me .Think we have to concentrate on lads born in 99 and 2000 for this team or lads who played senior adult this year.Big ask for a decent young player to be able for this .Players like John Keane from summertime who played midfield should be close enough.

Lynch would start for me for certain.

People made this argument on the last post and it's nonsense. Jordan Morris was the same age this year as McBride is next and was more than good enough. Also Ratoath are in the Under 21 final with an under 18/19 team. If you are good enough you are old enough that simple. McBride is out of Minor this is his age group for county

maybe you are correct about young McBride and that he is strong enough but for me he is possibly a bench player and should be given time to develop

Draws up on the Leinster website. Minors are in a group with Dublin, Offaly and Wexford. 20's have Carlow/Offaly in a quarter. Kildare/Laois/Westmeath if they win that. Both our 17's and 20's should have Leinster title as expectations. Both more than talented enough

Has a panel being put together for this years under 20's ? If so does anyone have a list ? Great chance this year of minor and 20's double

Was in DCU last night to watch the 20's in a challenge match with their Freshers. Played some great stuff, was really encouraging to see. Some things to iron out but generally really good. Then I see today that Pats Navan had a big win and are into the Leinster quarter. Hugely encouraging signs

Is Aaron Lynch from Trim on that U-20s panel?

0-13 points for Pats today. I'd say he runs riot at schools level - he was doing it to adults last year in the Intermediate

I said it months ago and you will see this year, this lad is the real deal!!

I was hesitant about Lynch but he seems to have gotten taller since I last seen him. Was always fast but didn't impact the game enough I felt (especially with county under 17). Seems to be a serious footballer now. I would still have him 5th in our ff line pecking order. (Behind Walsh, Morris, Mitchell and Finnegan) but he definitely deserves game time. Also that is an unbelievable full forward line and 2 subs

Should be a good group of lads my only issue would be like of full 20s that would make an impact. The step up from u17 to u20 is a big jump. In regards to Lynch to say he is 5th choice is laughable. If that's the case we will walk Leinster. A lot of people are calling for James Conlon to be starting for seniors (he should), he is a good bit smaller than Lynch so I can't see height being an issue. According to the Meath yearbook he scored 10-140 points last year for Trim. He was also on the u20s last year and on bench for Dublin game so he has experience. For u17 i thought he was excellent against Tyrone their biggest game along with Sean Ryan. I hope Conor Frayne can make a return before championship I think he has a lot of potential and would have been a huge help to SummerHill last year

I heard that actually. Big loss if he doesn't play. We have great full forwards but Walsh is the only lad who could be a big target man for long high ball. Adds a different dimension.
