JUICY are you actually that stupid to make a statement like that. Or are you a member of the CCCC. It is everyone responsibility for players welfare. The CCCC have shown themselves to be totally incompetent this year. First we have that statement on players welfare. Then the Brendan Davis cup farce, all of their own making. The reason the other clubs didn't object was because they didn't realise they could. I know a club inquired about the feis cup but it was to late as the final was already played. latouche25 (Meath) - Posts: 325 - 13/11/2018 20:27:44 2151012 Link 0 |
The real question to be answered from this years Senior Hurling Championship is, why were kildalkey fixed to play all of their group games in Navan this year. That is the question that needs to be addressed and answered immediately. It looks like they have played their last 12 championship matches in Navan over the 2017/2018 season. How can this happen ? Have Kildalkey a few representatives on the CCCC ? This issue needs to be sorted before next season. gardentree (Meath) - Posts: 194 - 14/11/2018 14:36:08 2151129 Link 0 |
Possibly the CCCC thought that only Navan could hold the crowd. But there may be other points of view. The Meath GAA website does not list any Kildalkey representatives on the CCCC but I don't know whither it refers to 2018 or not. Maybe the Kildalkey members were to be added during by they forgot, the CCCC have a record of delaying things. MillerX (Meath) - Posts: 742 - 14/11/2018 20:33:05 2151163 Link 0 |
Kiltale Issued the statement below on their website yesterday, very good clarification on how the events unfolded during the Brendan Davis Cup Fiasco . In the statement they say that and I quote , gardentree (Meath) - Posts: 194 - 21/11/2018 13:00:43 2151989 Link 0 |
Hopefully this puts the issue to bed. begining (UK) - Posts: 277 - 22/11/2018 09:18:57 2152072 Link 0 |
Because the competition has been deemed null and void by Leinster Council. If it is to be played this year then it needs to be started from scratch again. jackhackett (Meath) - Posts: 765 - 22/11/2018 10:38:04 2152079 Link 0 |
Then Na Fianna could head off to the Leinster Council as they were "debarred" as well.

The competition was not declared null and void by the Leinster Council, the Leinster council declared that the Meath CCC had been in violation of its own rules and deemed Kiltales objection in order. The Meath CCC then got the hump and declared the competition null and void. Kiltale in their statement on their website said that they received backing from the floor in regard to their inclusion in the BDC at a Hurling meeting in Dunganny , Can anybody tell us when did this meeting take place ???? The answer to that question would really clear up the whole fiasco. gardentree (Meath) - Posts: 194 - 22/11/2018 13:17:56 2152107 Link 0 |
Well can anybody give a date for this Hurling meeting held in Dunganny that Kiltale received backing from the floor for their inclusion in the Brendan Davis Cup. Their seems to be a code of silence in regard to the date of this meeting.

County final was played the 7th of October. Kiltale only found out after that they were omitted from the competition and appealed. Appeal rejected by the county board and they appealed to Leinster on 2nd of November. So i'd hazard a guess and say it was sometime between the 7th of October and 2nd of November. If an objection/appeal is valid Kiltale can put one in at anytime. They could rightly have put in an appeal after the BD final was played and if ruling was in their favor the cup could be taken from the winners and competition replayed. So timing of the objection has no relevance at all. In my view Kiltale only wanted to enter a competition that most clubs were pulling out of. And appealed in time so they could be entered. They had no intention of sabotaging the competition. begining (UK) - Posts: 277 - 29/11/2018 09:16:25 2152794 Link 0 |
