Why was Cian O Neill not part of Meath's U 20 squad. When he wasn't he made the long trip to Donegal and made an enormous contribution to the Tones winning.

He is on the panel. Came on in the Wicklow game. Just not picked today

Excellent performance by the lads yesterday, in truth were 4/5 points the better team but main thing was getting over the line, Kildare will most likely still make Leinster Final, Laois struggled to beat Wicklow yesterday so we should beat them. Top the group and let the Dubs and Kildare fight it out in the other semi final.

Some really good prospects, plenty of scoring threats and very dangerous going forward.

Just that he wasn't selected for yesterday's panel.

Few lads missing for the Laois game. Big game and if they win it's a semi final and avoiding both the Duvs and Kildare in it so would be a great chance. I checked at under 21 Meath have made 1 Leinster final since 2001 and lost it. That has to change starting this year

Yes the U21 record has been overall abysmal since 2001, if memory serves there were a lot of those years where we were gone at the first hurdle, it's an important grade for developing senior players so hopefully this positive trend of results continues, a provincial title at this grade would be a significant boost to everyone's confidence.

Not their best performance but a solid solid win. Into a semi final now and not playing the Dubs (or Kildare I think) my guess would be Offaly. Massive opportunity. Our Underage teams now a combined 6/6 in their championships. Great to see

Yeah Kildare play the second place team in group 3 which will be known after Offaly and Louth play each other tomorrow, Carlow are second at the moment and if it goes by score difference would need to win by 8 points or more to get second, a draw would be enough for Offaly to top the group and play Westmeath in the other quarter final, Dubs straight into a semi final, not sure how the semi finals pan out must look it up.

Any idea of whereabouts it's to be played.

I am just guessing because it was a neutral venue but I'd said a double header in Portlaois. Ourselves vs Offaly as curtain raiser and Dublin vs Kildare as the main event is how I see it playing out

Grand. I'll get down to that. Thanks.

As expected all along the last 4 is ourselves, Offaly, Dublin and Kildare. I am almost positive we play Offaly. On paper, it sounds like the easy draw but Offaly just beat Westmeath by 7 (Dublin beat them by 6). So this will be a big challenge. With David Clifford and Sean O'Se not able to play under 20's Offaly may very well have the best player at the age in the country in Cian Johnson so he will need to be stopped. If we can do that we have every chance.
