Not sure how you can have a go at Dunboyne over the Kilmacud defeat? They are the best team in Meath (senior championship winners), so no one else would have done any better. To say another team would have put up a better fight is a completely invalid arguement, so not sure what there is to gain by slating Dunboynes performance. It is a reflection of club football in Meath as a whole, not a reflection of Dunboyne. TakeYourPoints6 (Meath) - Posts: 223 - 21/11/2018 12:14:04 2151979 Link 0 |
It's just bitterness. Unfortunately a small minority of lads would if it's not their own club prefer to see a meath club perform poorly in Leinster so they can slate them. All clubs have a few of these types .

That's a ridiculous logic you have there. I am sure there are many teams in Meath who would not have rolled over like that in Navan and take a 16 point hammering Maestro (Meath) - Posts: 473 - 21/11/2018 17:52:16 2152025 Link 0 |
But we'll never know because they weren't good enough to win the Meath Championship this year.

Why did they roll over and not win a Keegan cup then

Why did none of these teams win the Senior Championship then? I'm not from Dunboyne, I just don't see the point in having a go at them when they are purely just a symptom of a larger problem

I don't think Kells rolled over? They were bet after extra time. I think you are a bit confused what rolling over and take a hammering means? Maestro (Meath) - Posts: 473 - 21/11/2018 19:19:08 2152036 Link 0 |
Lads this is an u21 thread head4dblackspot (Meath) - Posts: 447 - 21/11/2018 19:33:49 2152039 Link 0 |
So next time we face a Dublin team in Leinster our best bet is to send Kells out so we don't get rolled over again

Your overrating your own club player, it happens all the time on this forum just look at RD with Biggie. How did "Jonesy" play against Kilmacud do you think?

Dunboyne were beaten in every position in the field. How would other teams have done - I do not know, would they have done any better maybe not. The top 5 Dublin club teams are now very strong and would probably beat at least 10 county teams. Even though some 'experts' say otherwise Meath club teams have a good record playing in Navan in Leinster club!. As far as I know there was only one or two defeats in Navan over the last 40 years- I am open to correction.

Depends how you look at it. We'll only see in a couple of years time I guess, when he's developed further and not flying in from America for games without any training, that may answer your other question too. You seem to have taken an exception to an opinion as how good he can be, that's from watching him, if you think different that's fine I won't lose sleep.

They couldn't beat Dunboyne which still seems to be bothering you, dress that up whatever way you will. It's like someone coming on here the last two years saying Dunboyne would have beat Rhode or Lomans, completely pointless and shows a weird agenda - let it go.

I see Portlaoise put up a much better fight than Dunboyne, missing a penalty in the last minute to draw game in Dublin. It really puts Dunboyne's performance in Navan in perspective. Maestro (Meath) - Posts: 473 - 25/11/2018 16:23:34 2152369 Link 0 |
This lad...lol. He's like a dog with a bone. Well done to portlaoise for losing by less than dunboyne and putting up a better showing than dunbonye. They win the "Better than Dunbonye award" seriously fella let It go!!!

Dunboyne already have Mulvanys booked for Saturday nights celebrations when they win, all members of senior and junior team are invited as well to celebrate their historic achievement of winning all 3 grades. Barney123 (Meath) - Posts: 676 - 27/11/2018 21:35:56 2152657 Link 13 |
Correct, looking forward to it

Nearly as popular as Dunboyne.

Yes, hard to grasp why there's been a lot of talk of Dunboyne on these forums this year, genuinely beats me.
