He'd struggle to get a place in midfield after the performance of the Simonstown midfield against O'mahonys. It's going to be a very entertaining contest in the middle against Ratoath

I am sure Ratoath would offer Nash a spot if Simonstown don't want to play him - as would every other team in the county! I suspect Andy Mc would be calling him straight into the County team if he was available!!

We'll give him a game at midfield at dunboyne if the Simonstown u21 midfield is too strong for him to break in to

does anyone really GAF about the U21 competitions ? gardentree (Meath) - Posts: 194 - 09/11/2018 15:58:04 2150409 Link 0 |
Well one group certainly that doesn't seem to care about the u21 championships is the county board and whoever is in charge of the fixtures. Absolute disgrace how long a club season is for a 20/21 year old player. Is it any wonder why we have player burnout, lads not enjoying football and constant injury problems when the season runs from January to mid December. The GAA must be the only sporting organisation in the world where there is no distinctive off season. Like I appreciate that it is difficult to plan both codes and numerous different competitions throughout the year but playing it at this time of the year is disrespectful and unfair in my opinion. The whole club structure requires a complete overhaul.....Fast! RealTalk101 (Meath) - Posts: 21 - 10/11/2018 17:23:05 2150520 Link 1 |
See Conor Nash back in Ireland - will he play with Simonstown on Friday night! ASaminthehand (Meath) - Posts: 292 - 14/11/2018 15:32:16 2151135 Link 0 |

I know for a fact he's gone back to Australia, Pre-Season starts next week for him. He will be back for Christmas but don't know where you heard that rubbish. Meathmaster (Meath) - Posts: 251 - 16/11/2018 09:17:14 2151284 Link 0 |

Big win for Ratoath tonight would not have expected that margin of victory, great final to look forward too. Richieq (Meath) - Posts: 3590 - 16/11/2018 22:51:31 2151370 Link 13 |
Nearly two weeks ago I said Ratoath would beat Simonstown handy and I was proven right. This Simonstown team has never done a thing at minor. Never even got as far as a semi final. Ratoath might be young but they have an under 19,18,17 and two 16's behind them between 99,00. Give me the quality over the age

What was the Simonstown vs Ratoath game like? Was it as one-sided as scoreline suggests? Who impressed? ClashofTheAsh13 (Meath) - Posts: 31 - 18/11/2018 02:37:46 2151436 Link 0 |
A hard fought game but Ratoath seemed in control through out Working harder then their much bigger opponents The Ratoath half back line was superb with the number 5 standing out Also the 8and 9 were impressive The 10 was my man of the match head4dblackspot (Meath) - Posts: 447 - 18/11/2018 11:18:31 2151446 Link 0 |
Just back from dunboyne Senechalstown game! While the score was tight dunboyne were the better team. The two teams played very differently- Senechalstown seems smaller but moved the ball very quickly and their forwards were good! Dunboyne were better around the middle and dominated the centre of the pitch! ASaminthehand (Meath) - Posts: 292 - 18/11/2018 13:35:09 2151459 Link 0 |
I was at both Dunboyne's u21 games they are always the better team but seem to struggle to put teams away which could come back to bite them against Ratoath. Were Ratoath impressive or Simonstown poor? Heard Simonstown were very reliant on 2/3 players to do everything for them.
