Replying To MeathWawa:  "Again am unlike a lot of posters here who actually root for meath to be beat. They were two bad performances. She has meath ever dominated a league schedule - 88 , 94 99
We always look awful in the league but that is not a valid excuse anymore.
Despite the huge over reaction and wishing meath to do bad I see Meath winning on Sunday by 5/6 points"
a lot of posters ? i hardly think many so called bad supporters would bother wasting there own time and cash going all around the country to wish they were beaten. or waste time on a forum We are in a bad state for a good few years now it doesn't matter what Manager we have when we simply just do not have the players to compete.

The supporters who attend away games are not the supporters rooting for us to lose. Am referring to the same ppl who ripped MOD and now are ripping Mcentee and never offer any positivity. The same ppl nearly always say ' we aren't picking the right players ' but then never name whose these players are.
Watching players play good in a club game at a slower tempo and then thinking they will be what's meath are lacking at inter county leve is nonsense. The selectors have 41 if a panel that they think are the best players who are making themselves available .
I stand by my prediction - meath by 5/6 points over cork.
Lot of football still to be played this year. Up the Royal.

Replying To Ashrules:  "This time of year different players are been tried .Some adapt better than others as per usual. Therefore team are bound to have performance fluctuations. All went well until last 2 games but can be recovered.

Hope the double header aspect doe'sent backfire. If pitch is soft and big Carlow fellows with sticks plough the field it won't be best situation. Maybe they have a plan B to switch one game if the going is not good. Most spectators are only interested in one game anyway. In this case it will be football"
Hurling has been moved to Trim

That's a shame that they moved the hurling to Trim. Anyone know if Trim will honour the tickets for this game? I hope to make both but don't fancy paying twice.

I think it would be decent of them to honour those who wish to see both. I hope they do

Hopefully anyway, pity as you rarely get both hurling and football under one roof!

Normally Yes But the weather has been so bad we don't need the pitch to be cut up a lot before the cork game.
We didn't do well on a cut up pitch in Cavan

Reckon Micky Burke will start again. Tobin after 1st 5 minutes when he showed well was poor in tipp so not surprised he dropped I say there be another few changes with goals top of the list

You may not be surprised! but one could say that about at least 10 -12 players. The best of luck to all on Sunday

Think there will be at least 2 or 3 changes to that team and I will predict Royaldunne will be a happy man when the changes are made before throw in ;)

Corks strongest line look to be their 3 inside forwards, also have good fielders in the middle who work hard up and down the pitch. But overall its a fairly inexperienced team.

So is ours. Both counties rebuilding from a very low base. We (and I including myself in that ) probably expect or expected a bit too much too soon.
So while I will travel tomorrow, to give my dub born wife a great Mother's Day (she might even get a snack box) expecting a win as I always do, it's the future we must keep focused on.
Hon the royal

And the thumbs down just proves we have imposters on our forum. Please admin if you must continue with the childish thumbs up down thing, at least give a drop down feature so we can see exactly what people we are dealing with. Thank you
