Beat offaly by 10 pts
Beat laois by 10 pts
Beat Dublin by 11 pts
And I'm fairly sure if , and we should have, granted Louth replay ...the margin of victory would have went along the same lines as the previous games."
We havent had a stroke if good luck since 2010. Given a replay we would have won

Then Kildare hammered us in the next round 8 or 9 points i think. Anyway ancient history now that is 8 years ago and Dublin have won every leinster pretty easy since. I felt sorry for Louth after that final .they played some great football and the 2 midfielders caught a lot of ball but as stated we deserved it as we had a tough running to get to the final.

It will always be a tainted, dubious victory - not the words of any true loyal supporter and i dont care what you say. You dont have to go into the whole drama of winning it fair and square...got enough of that from my louth mates who many have subsequently fell out with me over this. You dont want to rub louth peoples noses in it but you are more than happy to rub us Meath peoples noses in it....well done. You say some including RD have green and gold in their veins...id like to think you have as do all of us on this forum. Think in future u should keep to the topic. Getting back to the subject, i dont have a crystal ball as im sure u dont either but i do have expectations from us Sunday i reckon it will be a tight game, meath by 3 and thats going on my faith i have in Andy in what hes doing & how i know the lads have progressed through their clubs, fitness, mental attitude etc. Have a little faith Royalio11"
How on earth was it not Dubious??? We won the game by Joe fresh airing his kick and ultimately throwing the ball into the net!!! No Meath fan or player would have agreed to a replay, on that I agreee and the title is ours, that I will all agree and accept!! But don't try and say it wasn't a dubious victory, that is just ludicris and a blatant lie!!!

It is the same as the Henry handball that knocked Ireland out of the world cup playoff in 2010.

Maradonna's hand of God against England.

Cork's draw against Meath in the Camaoige last year (thankfully we won the replay).

Antrim being given a replay against Meath in the Christy Ring Hurling despite Meath having scored a clear point (Again thankfully we won the Replay).

All dubious results at the time, yet all stood and the teams that got the results in their favour, while no doubt accepting them and being delighted about it will all openly admit that they were lucky to get them. Doesn't make them any less true or loyal a supporter.

As i said we have had no luck since we won that final. You are kind of wrong there, Louth were not all that. I counted 3 times out of pure thickness their midfielders kicked the ball into the crowd. They gave away alot of ball that day and they could have had it well won before we got the goal. Anyway dont think we should get into this whole debate again lol

So how is Meath beating Louth in 2010 not in the same dubious bracket?

Seriously im not getting into this debate again, not a chance. This forum is for the Roscommon game we are looking forward to on Sunday, not dragging this up again. If you want to discuss this set up a new forum Meath v Louth 2010 or whatever you want to call it......

Well then don't go questioning a persons support or loyalty to their County when they are just stating facts and about what happened!! And it was you and Royal Dunne that dragged this up all because someone put a *bside the year when stating their opion on something

I agree, it pointless, and I'll take part of the blame for biting, I just don't like when people question someones loyalty as a fan just becuse they state a fact that may not cover the team in 100% glory!!

Anyway heres hoping they perform well on Sunday and we start the league off with a win.

Tomorrow for us as far as I know, players were being told either last night or tonight at training but its normally onlya day or two before hand when Andy releses it to the public, a few games last year he kept it quiet as long as he could if i remember corretly

Replying To ratlag:  "Based on what I've seen so far in tems of selections and performaces I'd imagine the team against Roscommon will be something along these lines.

Gallagher
Burke
McGill
Keoghan
McEntee
Power
Conlon
Menton
Flanagan
McEntee/Brennan
O'Sullivan
Joey Wallace
Biggy
Lenihan
McKeever

I'd see Biggy being brought out to a 4 man half forward line and a 2 man inside forward line."
I'd still stick with close to this team, possibly McMahon in for McKeever as he hasn't played enough with county to have claimed the starting spot, but may have impressed in training challenge games
