Well done Bryan Menton our new Captian.....good to have a new captain every year to give every player a chance of a leadership role,we need to create leaders in the team,Donal Keogan and Graham Reilly got that experience of leadership as captains...and hopefully they can stay leaders on the pitch and help the new lads tomorrow.

He is better player than Conlon at moment, really is that simple.

Well done to Bryan. He seems to carry good leadership skills so ive no doubt he is up for the job. Wonder how biggy feels about it. Guess we will find out 2moro. Hes a moody player and i only hope this hasnt knocked him could be disastrous for us if hes off the boil tomorrow. As predicted Ben got a spot. Im looking forward to seing what he brings to the table playing with the big boys now.
All in all i think its a cracking team and if we play to our potential i honestly think we will get a nice win tomorrow. Worst thing about having such a strong team starting is the expectations that they bring. Meath to win by 3.

What's the best route to Roscommon (from Navan)? I've forgotten what way I went two years ago. Thanks.

Glynn or O neill would be ahead of him but they don't have family connections in the hierarchy

In heading through Delvin on out through Mullingar. Best and quickest route.

Actually loyal. Im lead to believe that this was known well in advance by all concerned, and as far as I can tell every year under Andy there will be a different capt, so shouldn't make much difference to graham.

Into athboy onto delvin, through the town in mullingar and head straight through go towards ballymahon (not athlone) and continue straight the whole way till Roscommon town. Take it handy on the roads the n52 is lethal and the road from mullingar onwards is straight in places but also very dangerous. Safe journey.

I honestly believe Shane is given the start to see how it goes. In the half backs we have at least 5 with little between them.Same applies with half forwards. No outstanding players .so no big issue with who starts. BUT Andy will be ruthless from to morro onwards. Deliver or your off no matter WHO you are. Workrate will be critical in deciding. He knows we are not overloaded with talent. He will demand work or else. I would even say a player with hands on hips looking on when needed will be escorted off by stretcher never to wear the jersey again. This forum may be rocked to its foundations even.

Not so sure bout that...however Andy pulls no punches so obviously right thing to do.
