agreed ....if those 3 players are fit he can adjust pretty quickly anyway. Always very difficult to know who is on or off when we don't have all the relevant info. A fair few lads had a poor enough game last week and are included this, to suggest he just there cause of who he is is a cheep shot at our management, and furthermore is untrue, as Andy will treat Shane same as any other player. Not much I agree with RD on but I will with this, I have heard this type of comment from a lot of lads and I then ask them who would you like to see replace him and they can't give me an answer. We have been stuck for half backs in the last few years and with Harnan gone it won't help things. Douglas isn't a bad player but after seeing him play a few games I still think Shane McEntee is slightly better than him. I think the half back line for league/championship should be Conlon, Power and McEntee. Keogan is a decent half back but needed more at corner back I think. It seems Meath football fans are always not happy with something. If this isn't a good year I can see a lot of "fans" calling for Andy's head but that would do more harm than good in my opinion. Ok strong team, can only see 2-3 changes for league game next year. This alludes to two things for me: This match is being treated as a league game with a league team Andy is setting out to win this match Irrespective of all that has gone on this week we must need to see a real intent from the team - I.e. monitoring opposition kick outs; implementing our own kick out strategy; less wasteful attacking breakdown and of course - a little bit of cuteness and gamesmanship. There is little argument to be made if Meath are beaten tomorrow 'by the better team' that it is nothing to worry about and it's only the O'Bryne Cup.
