Simonstown would have beat Tones in minor, and also put it up to tones and led the game in the second half of the u21 match missing Conlon a McGrath and Nash. ClashofTheAsh13 (Meath) - Posts: 31 - 27/12/2017 15:49:28 2066036 Link 0 |
Simonstown minors also competed in division 1 at minor losing out to eventual finalists Na Fianna by a point. Wonder how they managed to even compete in division 1 considering they had no Meath minors last year or u16's and only 2 u17s ?? Na Fianna had Shane Walsh and Jack McNally suspended for that game and were stumbling through the championship at that stage. Simonstown only beat Trim and got hammered by Dunboyne so competing is a loose term

Don't remember any players been suspended for any Div 1 championship games this year. I think you are misinformed. Simonstown or Dunshaughlin would have won Division 2 as the gap between divisions is a good one

Yeah they would have won division 2 but saying Simonstown competed because they came close to Na Fianna is like saying Derry competed for the All Ireland because they got close to Mayo. It isn't true

yeah I do think the top 3 minor teams in County are Ratoath Na Fianna and Dunboyne with very little between them while a lot of other teams like Dunshaughlin Simonstown o mahoneys summerhill and Wolfe Tones seem to be dependant on younger players and are just not as strong this year. I think O mahoneys and Simonstown along with Ratoath and Dunboyne will be the ones for 2018 in under 19.

I never said that it must be another poster. But I get your analogy of Derry/Mayo

I think you need to look up the definition of "competed".....

Clash your being silly. Simonstown were hammered by the Tones in both u19 and 21's . To day they would beat the Tones at minor is the equivalent of saying you know the lottery numbers. They didn't meet so your point is baseless. They will meet this year at U19 that's if Simonstown aren't relegated to div2 latouche25 (Meath) - Posts: 325 - 02/01/2018 17:30:40 2066509 Link 0 |
