New Managers

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

That time of the year again were managers are jumping between jobs. Anyone have any info on who is going to end up where

Have seen that both Ashbourne and Na Fianna are looking for new managers along with Slane (whose job Spec requries Mick O Dwyer by the looks of things)

Is Damien Shierdan staying on with Senchalstown after taking over mid season? Will Mick O'Dowd continue with Skryne after guiding them to safety? I assume Colm O'Rourke will continue looking to bring Simonstown for a Three in a row! Tomas O Flatharta with O Mahonys? List could go on. Davy Cahill has improved with rep further around the Junior level

Interested to see what changes are occurring.

Don't know about all the guys on your list, but I suspect Tomás Ó Flatharta will be on his rothar.

I was sure either one of the Sean's would of stay on in ashbounrne . Are they looking at the na fianna job? Is ashbounrne looking for a hurling manager as well? I heard they have a lot of lads putting in good work and still a young team to work with.
Will john Lyons stay on as manager for the hill? He has a lot of youth there coming on.
Na fianna looking for a hurling manager two, any good managers that could look to go there. Maybe they need some up and coming manager. I heard pat was to hard on lads and lost respect of lads, that day is gone going buts at players.

Going nuts at lads I meant. That day is gone. Some older managers far to hard on lads.

Sean Barry gone to St Marys Ardee. Not too sure about others but Hank is gone from Castletown who are looking at appointing an interim manager to get them kickstarted. Wont be as many changes as previous years.

Good or bad For Dunboyne? If he never had the Ashbourne job I would have said good. Didn't have the best of times there. Time will tell I suppose because I do think this dunboyne team are good enough to win a championship. Doesn't mean they will though as we all know.

Ohh I agree with you on dunboyne winning champ he knows this to,will it happen.should beat simonstown played some serious football first half lost the plot second but look these boys just go round the merry go round. For them it's about who has the next best chance. Won't take on a team needs work.

Agreed, with the pick of players both locals and outsiders available in the likes of Ashbourne and Dunboyne, Ratoath and Colmcilles it is akin to managing Dublin in that there is a pool of talent at your disposal. Thats where credit goes to the likes of Lar Wall who with limited resources has had Kells in 3 senior semi finals.

Definitely agree on pool of good talent in those clubs. But are Kells that limited don't think so no natural midfielders need few dogs big men. Yes that man getting most out of them 3 semis very good but they decent team. Set up the right way I think they could win championship.

Yeah Paddy left the Dublin club scene after 1 year. Took over Armagh but it's very quiet yet. But he's up and running there.

I'm hearing Paschal Kelleghan has gone back to Ballinabrackey. Busy man as he's also the new Tipperary coach.

Pascal will be good for the Bracks . John Lyons could be Leaving Summerhill with Sean Kelly going to Dunboyne as assistant . Na Fianna have new football and hurling managers with Sean O Dea from Clane taking over the football and not sure who is doing the hurling for them. Lar Wall staying with Kells which I'd great for them .

I don't know for sure but I think Damian is staying on as manager of seneschalstown but McConville is coming in as some type of coach.

The Slane job description is unreal and you would wonder what club football is coming to. A Junior B club putting that up will put serious pressure on the players and could end up coming back to haunt them. It like the lunatics have taken over the asylum. Be interesting to see who gets it.
