No underage success recently and an ageing senior team without the two Brays for a lot of games this season.

yeah as far as i see they don't have any players on the u16/u17 teams and no real u20's either. they need to do better tbh.

see mcloughlin got 4-6 for moynalvey in the league and cillian o'sullivan did not score, anyone at that game?

Replying To VernonSmith:  "Small Dunshaughlin? What opticians do you go to? King, Crimmins, Maloney, Murphy, Ahern, Toolan, young Kealy, are they small. Dunshauglin led from the 5th minute to the 58th against Na Fianna. I think it was Na Fianna who were lucky to get a draw. In round one against Dunboyne, Dunboyne scored their goal in injury time to make it a 5 point game. 5 minutes from the end, Dunshaughlin hit the bar. As most posters will know, league form goes out the window in championship. But you're right. Ratoath will walk all over Dunshaughlin due to their sheer size and 14 county men they can call on"
ratoath have a lot of injury worries - Joe Wallace, Brian McMahon, Cian O'Brien all out injured and believe McGowan picked up a bad knock in the league game last night! That would impact any team!!

This is set up for a Dunshaughlin win
Ratoath are struggling with Injuries to their main men
I can see Dunshaughlin dominanting midfield as they have huge men in there
and Dunshaughlin are an established Senior Force with Maloney , Dwyer , Crimmins to the fore
I think they will physically dominate a weaker smaller Ratoath team

Thinking the same. Dunshaughlin will have masses of senior experience in their ranks which, coupled with our mounting injury list, will give them a great chance.
Cian O'Brien's injury he picked up against Pat's looked very serious which made it all the more bizarre that he was left on for 10 minutes or so in the second half.

Ratoath will have the edge. Dunshaughlin have experience. Ratoath have the youth. Should be a ding dong contest

Don't know what is meant by this thread.

O'Mahonys finished a respectable 5th in Division1 of the league and has currently a 100% record in the championship.

Don't rule them out yet.

Was at this game Zig... wouldn't read too much into it. He played v well but Rathkenny were a shambles missing 4/5 of the best players. Brian Meade Caoloch Halligan Joe Gore and Robert Garry all not available. Missing best player in every section of thr pitch if you like. Young McGuiness picked up O'Sullivan and did an admirable job though

Not sure to be honest. There have been a good few players off on holidays recently so that may explain their absence.

I really cant see beyond Simonstown they appear to have thrown off the shackles that used to hold them back and have a certain belief about themselves it appears the Keegan Cup is theirs for the taking

What odds are Dunshaughlin to win this game? Well worth a bet ,Local Derby
Dunshaughlin v unlucky to be bet by Pre Tournament Favourites Dunboyne in 1st game
Hit the bar whilst level with 10 to go , then should of Beaten a lot of peoples dark horses Na Fianna after leading all game
They will need the points more than Ratoath too and have a fully fit first choice 15

Some win for Moynalvey against NOM.
Strange game in Ratoath between BHG and Cilles. Cilles seemed to have the better players but Blackhall had the experience to get a result. Should have won it but for a Cilles point with the last kick of the game. Draw doesn't really do either side any good.
Looks like Cilles are suffering from the extended 2016 season.

Dunboyne got the win today but only just, St Pats are a real bogey team for them. They are 3/3 in champo without really playing well yet. Don't know if it's a good or bad sign, it's all set up for Ratoath Dunboyne showdown on the last week. Elsewhere Moynalvey had a good win and Simonstown seem to be absolutely flying

He did. He did OK but was a bit selfish in his play. Made several good runs up front but could have laid it off to players in better positions. Not sure if he scored. Got a yellow in the first half for a reckless high foot going for a loose ball.
Alan Nestor did extremely well for BHG.

If Anthony forde of moynalvey isn't on the meath football panel next year I'd be shocked, in moynalveys 3 championship games he's scored 1-9 from wing back, he was with the Meath hurlers last year but I think he's a much better footballer

Good win for Ratoath tonight 2-10 to 0-8 against Dunshaughlin, utterly terrible conditions to play in though rain was unrelenting. Three wins from three is all one can ask for.

It was difficult enough to see in Ashbourne with floodlights. Can't imagine what it was like in Navan.
I stand to be corrected on this, but I think that we're mathematically guaranteed to make the quarter finals now. Skryne and Dunshaughlin can't catch us and we've beaten both Pat's and Na Fianna so would be ahead of them on head to head.
