Junior A Championship

Replying To Belt:  "No Moynalty are safe now. Kells move up and replace Simonstown"
So they are going to stick with 20 junior A teams next year? Including 8 in the group of second teams, so each has to play 7 group games before they even reach the quarter final. Where's the sense in that?
Surely dropping simonstown and dunshaughlin down to junior b to have 18 junior a teams would be better to start with, and then move on to who Kells should replace.
Meanwhile moynalty lose all their group games, lose a relegation play-off and yet still manage to stay up? How is that right? Why not relegate them and move Kilbride up. At least they have done something to warrant being junior a next year.,

Moynalty were found out big time. They never earned their Junior A status in the first place and this year just proves they don't belong. I do expect them to improve in the next few years though. The cilles will do well in Junior A I reckon. Have to feel for Kilbride, I thought they were looking good to win Junior B.

Ye I think Meath hill won by 2 or 3.. Although they got relegated this year from division 2.. the last couple of years playing their league football at that grade will stand to them and should see them over the line.

What's the big deal if simonstown and the other reserve clubs had accepted the regulation as 1st passed there would have been still 18 junior clubs. So let them play 7 games every year that's what they all wanted

Would fancy Meath Hill to win this one reasonably comfortably. They will be battle hardened after coming through the tougher side of the draw and with lots of game time in Navan under their belt they won't be over awed by the occasion. Moylagh may find the going tough as they have little or no big match experience in Pairc Tailteann

Wouldn't have expected either team to make it this far earlier in the year, however Meath Hill's superior physicality and experience to get them over the line. I'd expect them to win comfortable enough and hold their own in the intermediate ranks next year. All said I think it was a fairly poor junior championship this year.

Having been at both semi-finals, I have to admit there's only one going to be one winner in the final (Meath Hill). Moylagh's semi-final lacked any real quality and they will be very much up against it in the decider.

One of the best supported teams in the county on fairness. The atmosphere in Navan last Sunday was better than for many Senior finals. Great achievement for Davy Cahill to bring them from nowhere to championship win if they get over Moylough, who by the way have also defied the odds

Out of nowhere? They've been the only Junior team in Div 2 the past 2 years...

Yes hill have had poor championship form last while did not get out of group in 2016 and well bet at quarter final stage in 15 but they are always knocking and probably have better recent record than moylagh who seemed to have come from nowhere.
Hill are ready to secure intermediate grade having battled well in div 2. Moylagh as mid table div 4 this final may have come bit soon

Logic would suggest only one outcome here, Meath hill plying their trade at a significantly higher grade in the league for one. I know league form is a far cry from championship and they failed to stay in division 2 but Moylagh only mid table division 4. Hill also topped a far tougher championship group and beat far stronger teams in knockout, I think Moylagh were perhaps lucky with their group and knockout draw, they haven't really beaten anyone of any substance. Not trying to take away from them as you can only play what's put in front of you but all said Meath hill by 6 points. Bigger, stronger, more seasoned.

A novel junior final pairing - the last time Meath Hill won the title was 1980 - 37 years ago and to my knowledge Moylagh have never won it. I say Meath Hill will scrape it by 3-5 points.

A long wait for both clubs, Meath hill in a one sided game.

I think Moylagh need everything to go right on the day and they need Meath hill to have everything to go tits up on the day...but even at that i don't think it would guarantee Moylagh victory !

Meath are probably one of the better teams to have reached a junior final in the last few years ... i think it's to big of a Hill to climb this year for Moylagh..

Bigger stronger and more seasoned.... you know little about meath hill more like smaller faster and better ... very inexperienced young team and so will have no hang ups or inhibitions and will win by 6 or more
