Denis 'Dinny' Brady who passed away on 25th August 2011, had a lifelong involvement with Donaghmore Ashbourne GAA club. Dinny first played for the club in 1936-37 as a minor and won a minor championship medal in 1938. He was on the panel for the 1942 championship win. However it is as a committee member and club official that Dinny made his mark. He was an executive member for the best part of forty years and a County Board representative for over twenty years. Dinny was also a juvenile football coach and his car was always available to transport players to and from matches. On a lighter note he will also be remembered for his parts in the pantomimes which took place in the Wotton many years ago. Dinny ha been Club President for over twenty years.
