John Carroll sadly passed away in March this year. He is remembered by many of his former playing colleagues in Trim GAA club and the people of Trim where he was well known and popular. As a young man growing up in Trim, John played juvenile hurling and football with the club. In 1972 at the age of 17 he played at full forward on the Trim minor football of that won the Meath championship. He also lined out at full forward for the Trim U'21 hurling team of 1976 that were championship finalists and was a member of the successful 1978 junior football team that won the Meath championship. John also coached underage hurling in the club in the late 1990's. May he Rest in Peace.
