Couldn't make the first two games due to work commitments but managed to go yesterday.
It must have been very hard for the lads to raise themselves for this game and they definitely looked tired.
Never in danger of loosing but a few minuses with the Martin Reilly injury and poor discipline by Keating. McVeety needs to cool his heels too. Will he miss the next match as his red card was an acculturation of two yellows?
His sending off made little difference and we saw out the last 20 minutes with the minimum of fuss.
Carlow were very limited and we didn't expose them enough but what can you expect after a 6 day turn around, look what happened to Monaghan.
Best of luck in the next round.

I would not read too much into yesterday's game. The opposition were limited and it was 6 days after Tyrone. However, I have a view that the team peaked for the last couple of rounds in the League and have slipped since then, even the games which were won we were not that impressive performance wise. Injuries will start to play a role as we go forward as if successful the team will have games next weekend and the week after, four weeks running which is not easy. However, it's a chance for other members of the panel to be given a run and that can only be good. Glad to see Tom Hayes got a run yesterday, he always shows for the ball and allows for a better mix of ball going into the forward line.

I think the teams Cavan can get in the draw are Derry, Sligo, Laois and Clare.

If Derry are still there we are better getting them. should we beat them it will do moral no harm at all.

Huge improvement needed on last nights performance if we're goin to beat anyone. Missed a chance to give players in the panel a run.

You would be better off not following cavan football since it causes you so much annoyance. Although I get the feeling that you were happy with the performance as in the absence of a loss it at least gave you a chance to be bitter. A question for you. What is wrong with people dreaming of success in the future and what good do lads like you achieve by belittling the efforts of your own county?

happy with the draw. its exactly what they need, a decent team that a victory over will do morale no harm!!! playing Carlow was a ''no win'' situation. no matter how good they may have played no one was going to be ecstatic.
Looking ahead to Derry, Cavan are going to need to inject a lot of pace into their attack and counter attack coming out from their own back line.
Every single attack from the back against Carlow was slow and lateral and in that time Carlow just filtered back.
they need to rediscover some of their better league form, moving out of defense at pace, runners of the shoulder and men inside making runs.
get the pieces of the puzzle in place next weekend and they surely can win it.

Well it's not hard to work that bit out . Very little within the organisation is above board. As was proved
