Awwwwnow (Cavan) I think fella if you knew my medical situation you would not have made that comment but your ignorance is excused.

I was in Clones however bet you were listening to it on the radio. I go to these matches to enjoy not vocally but to enjoy and to watch the lad's and opposition playing it's what it's all about, also to make a constructive unbiased opinion on the game.
Half time it's a draw and still all to play for.
I can watch the highlights of the Cork ladies match if I desire on TG4 all week. I am from Cork and proud of it and I am very proud of my adopted county as well like many that follow the Blue and White that are not native to Cavan."
Not clued up on your medical condition so no ignorance on my part. And yes I was at the game . Glad your adopted county is making you feel proud. Your own county not performing in both codes. So it's nice for you to have Cavan to cheer!

G McKiernan needs to get more involved the next day. A bit surprising to see him last the full game. Johnston struggles against teams like Tyrone. Jack Brady should have been on earlier, Keating too. Another go at it week anyway.

Thought Galligan, Corr and McVeety were all excellent today. Givney took the goals well and won his fair share of 50-50 ball often against 2 or 3 men. Needs someone running off him at all times tho, support was a little slow to get there today.

It looked like McEnroe was given the job of marking Peter Harte and far too often was yards away from him. Harte had an average game by his usual standards and if he's on song in two weeks time, that marking job will lose us the game.

17 wides is a desperate return - you can attribute some of that to the conditions, but it's mostly down to the shot choice. . .why does Conor Moynagh insist on kicking every ball with the outside of the boot? 10 times harder to execute on such a wet day!

We've been saying it for a while now, but Terry is FAR too slow to make changes! Keating should've been on 10mins earlier, when we had a 3 point lead in the 2nd half. Changes were needed at the back much earlier too. We showed signs of tiredness.

A lot of people saying we missed our chance today, but I disagree. In fact, we got out of jail a little bit. A bit of cuteness in our approach would go a long way. We have every bit the calibre of player in our ranks as Tyrone! 10/10 for effort from the lads today - can't ask for more than that.

Great to get out of a very wet Clones with a draw. We had good performances from Raymond Galligan givney Mackey and Martin Reilly. We had poor performances from Gearoid and Sean Johnston . We also had poor performance from our management team who didn't make changes when they were needed. What was the point of sending on a sub at 35 minutes in second half. What waste the time of those players on the panel is you are never going to use them in Matches.

I wasn't aware K Clarke plays a forward for his club.
Just never saw him play there for Cavan, it just didn't work out for him today. He's a v good player normally.

Watched the game again on playback.
Too often Givney was on his own , had no support off him. Too many wides by backs. Johnston getting unfair comments but I'm sure he was only doing what he was told to do. He should be nearer the goal, as has been proven in previous games. We needed fresh legs earlier. Was Gearoid unwell today? He didn't seem able to get involved in the game .

Unless he walks away himself, Terry will manage Cavan in Division 1 next year. The ultimatuns by those fascinated by him on the Internet won't change that. Enjoy the build up lads quit obsessing over our Manager!

No change in the named team for Sunday. I would expect one or two changes before throw in though. I think Murray will be lucky to keep his place.

I wanted a performance and I got one. Why the negativity? Did we Lose? Scored 3 goals against a defence some regard as the best in the business at this moment in time. We stood up to Tyrone and they didn't like it one bit, also the character to get the draw after being 3 points down is testament to this team. I'm not saying were world beaters but we are improving step by step game by game. Whether we get the result in two weeks remains to be seen, but I for one have hope in this team, without that there's nothing.

A very poor show yesterday and but for lucky goals we were beat out the gate... Too many wides from players who should never be having a pop at goal and that is down to bad management... What was Killian Clarke doing up in the foreword line and was Faulkner injured...? Hopefully somebody brings McKiernan to the replay as he was sorely missed yesterday..!!!

Actually thought Murray played well yesterday , capping it by scoring a fine point when badly needed. I'd be interested to hear JonSmiths views on the very late substitutions by the management when some players were clearly out on their feet after an energy sapping game . Do you JonSmith agree with the managements decisions to bring on subs in the 35 minute of the 2nd half??? Stupid question really I suppose .. Of course you agree.. Well I don't and furthermore TH got plenty wrong yesterday but 3 soft goals at the right time covered his management.

Scraped a draw in a game we should have won. Killian Clarke - a fine big athlete but not a great footballer. Struggled at full-back and is no full-forward. Carried the ball into tackles and lost it too often. Maybe half-back is his place but would be surprised to see him start next day. Argue should have started at full-forward. Seanie is wasted that far from goal - either needs to be in around Givney or not playing. Ciaran Brady rescued us - why he's not starting is beyond me. McVeety had a very good outing as had Martin Reilly. Tyrone are beatable.

Guys you stuck a big man at the edge of the square and bombed big high balls into him, we use to do that at U14 level, yes on a very wet day it was a good tactic and we struggled against it but I'm thinking the same wont work next day out since Harte is now fully aware of this approach. Would TH repeat this same tactic?

It was a serious rough day, men making mistakes all over the place, wild shots on goal and think the draw suits us both.

Pleased with how we approached the game. Think the conditions worked against our high ball tactics so worth having another go. Brave to use Killian Clarke up front, but are we messing with his confidence? No surprise that Geroid and SJ struggled, they were singled out for tight marking again. Management need to look at this, happened in the league final as well. The extra space from this wasn't exploited by others. Need more creativity from Mc Veety and co. Mossy gives everything but can't be accused of being creative. Biggest disappointment was watching Harte freshen his team with 6 fresh legs from 25 mins out and our lads doing the same on injury time. What are they expecting from a substitute going on for two mins?

Lots of teams use the tactic of playing a big man on the square, Cavan used this tactic because Tyrone are known to be vulnerable there, why else were they playing Colm Cavanagh there in the first place if Harte wasn't concerned? If Cavan can do that to you what will the likes of Dublin, Kerry or even Donegal and Mayo do to you? We kicked an awful lot of wides too having created good openings and just had the wrong men on the end of a lot of moves (Gunner Brady, Killian Clarke, Rory Dunne all should have scored) and we should have been 6 or 7 points up after 20 mins and should have pushed on when we were 2 points up in the second half after scoring 4 points in a row. Having said that you cannot rely on scoring 3 goals to win a game but nor can you expect to win if you concede 3 goals. Tyrone will rightly be favourites again the next day and are the better team but Cavan will take a lot from this game too and will feel they drew playing no where near their capacity so it is all to play for!

Sheer heart , guts , determination , will to win kept us in it right up to the end. The players really have to be commended for their performance in such terrible conditions. Tactics are out dated and very amateurish .. U14 stuff really as a previous poster stated. No know how along the line whatsoever. Sad really because we have one hell of a committed panel .

If someone told me before the game Gearoid McKiernan would be held scoreless, Johnston would'nt score from play and Killian Clarke would be substituted, yet we would still draw the game I would'nt have believed it. That says alot for this team and the genuine talent all through it. Was delighted for Niall Murray yesterday after shifting alot of criticism for his previous two outings. Brilliant point at a key time in the game.
David Givney finally delivered on his raw potential and the scary thing is I believe he there's much more in the tank.

When Cavan played it wide we cause Tyrone serious problems. Our kick out in the first half was flawless and it was only in the second half when Tyrone went man for man on same that it caused us some problems. Why was Johnston playing so far away from goal when on several occasions when the ball went in long there was no one there to feed off breaks.

Like everyone else was very disappointed with the side line. Unlike Harte who introduced subs early to allow them make an impact on a day when fresh legs were really important , Cavan on the other hand with the exception of Keating for Johnston left it too late to introduce players. He seemed at that stage to be bringing on lads just to give them a run rather than make an impact on the game.

Can't wait for the replay. The extra game will have brought McEnroe and Dunne on alot and can't see McKiernan and Clarke so quiet again.

The conditions were desperate however some of the shooting was not acceptable or up to standard. Clarke should be played half back as a play maker and runner not in the full forward line. McKiernan did not show up-tightly marked or not-still should contribute to the game. SJ did not look fit and should of been substituted sooner.

McVeety and Mackey showed a bit of class and defensively sound. I taught the ref gave Tyrone some very easy frees in the first half which kept them in the game-gave Cavan very little.

Tyrone looked like a team who was doing some heavy training and looked slow in spells, they were there for the taking. The game yesterday will bring Cavan on to the next step on how to close out big games.

We are getting closer lads-the next day for Cavan to win

Cavan got absolutely nothing from playing the high ball yesterday.
