Don't think Dunne is back in no. Unless very recent! Reformation (Cavan) - Posts: 356 - 22/01/2016 08:02:54 1818404 Link 0 |
Saw him training with Cavan Gaels yesterday so at the moment it does not look like it The Quiet Man (Cavan) - Posts: 4565 - 25/01/2016 21:28:55 1819245 Link 0 |
My team for the start of the league would be: tenyearplan (Cavan) - Posts: 130 - 25/01/2016 21:47:36 1819255 Link 0 |
Would agree with a lot of that team but I think you had a rush of blood to the head when you said... Reformation (Cavan) - Posts: 356 - 26/01/2016 09:51:21 1819277 Link 0 |

agree with most of that tenyearplan but I think you are a bit harsh on poor Martin Reilly. I think we missed him against Derry the last day. maybe his problem is that he does too much work. He covers for defenders and carries the ball forward great and links up with the forwards. He is capable of scoring as he showed against Derry in 2013. I don't think he deserves to be dropped. mackey as well, thought I take your point about running in to trouble. although to be fair to both of them perhaps they are trying to create something rathe than take the easy option . either way I think we have plenty of options in the attacking half of the field with; s goldrick (Cavan) - Posts: 5356 - 26/01/2016 12:40:09 1819349 Link 0 |
maybe i am a bit harsh on Martin Reilly but i feel he has no definite role in the side - you find him in the full back line as much as in the forwards which ,in my opinion, serves no purpose other than draw the opposition on to you. its not only him - its symptomatic of the way Hyland thinks they should play. We re on the back foot the whole time. Take the shackles off and we re as good as anyone . Im hoping that eventually the manager might see that before its too late for him and the team. I m an optimist however - I m going for a three point win for Cavan on Sunday !!! tenyearplan (Cavan) - Posts: 130 - 26/01/2016 21:58:54 1819576 Link 0 |
Well I tend to agree that Hyland has a big year ahead of him. This is the strongest panel that I have seen for years and I think Martin Reilly came out and said it in an interview recently. Do we have the know how on the line?? I think not but hope that I am proven wrong. Reformation (Cavan) - Posts: 356 - 27/01/2016 08:19:41 1819587 Link 0 |

Good enough performance against Tyrone even if we didn't win. Cavan_Slasher (Cavan) - Posts: 10253 - 02/02/2016 17:34:47 1821715 Link 0 |
I would never like to see a player injured but given this lads antics in Croker last year...well... supermon (Monaghan) - Posts: 1071 - 02/02/2016 18:39:26 1821734 Link 0 |
I think we will find ourselves in a relegation dogfight but we will stay up. Best of luck to Terry and the lads!! JonSmith (Cavan) - Posts: 1451 - 08/02/2016 13:53:31 1823485 Link 0 |
If we beat Armagh and Laois in Breffni it will be about the height of it . We haven't the bottle to beat Meath in Navan . We won't beat Fermanagh away and the Galway game at home depends on if Galway need anything out of it too. If they safe they might not be bothered. So it's 6 points max Awwwwnow (Cavan) - Posts: 1050 - 08/02/2016 14:22:13 1823509 Link 0 |
Why not beat fermagh away,we haven't lost to often. In Brewster, we have just lost by 1 point and 2 Points to possibly the 2 best teams In the division, so why say we Won't win more than 2 blueman1903 (Cavan) - Posts: 743 - 08/02/2016 14:50:08 1823535 Link 0 |

It's dissappointing that we lost both our opening games, but as other posters have said we were not outplayed in either of them. it was small margins. I believe we can beat Fermanagh,Meath,Armagh and Laois. I don't think we can compete for promotion now as I believe Tyrone and Derry will not be beaten by any of the others. s goldrick (Cavan) - Posts: 5356 - 08/02/2016 15:36:41 1823567 Link 0 |
