While consistency in the SFC over the last couple of years makes Kingscourt favorites for this years final.I believe that on their day Castlerahan are capable of beating any club in Cavan so I would say this is a real 50/50 final .Both sides are blessed with good footballers and hopefully we will get a competitive and enjoyable final. rahanman (Cavan) - Posts: 127 - 29/09/2015 10:58:23 1793442 Link 0 |
Best of luck to both teams in Co Final.lets hope the Gaels ref doesn't mess this one up. gaelsutd (Cavan) - Posts: 602 - 29/09/2015 12:48:59 1793571 Link 0 |
Dillon a loss for Kingscourt. He gets involved in too much niggling stuff. Castlerahan with David Wright and Sean Brady back have some good options to call from. FoolsGold (Cavan) - Posts: 2216 - 29/09/2015 13:05:07 1793587 Link 0 |
Championship semifinalist Killygarry & Killeshandra playing each other in the breffni league semi final this Saturday. It will be interesting to see how both teams react after the disappointment of losing at the weekend. They'll both have done a lot of training getting to the semi final so fitness wont be an issue, where their heads are at will be though. Former Castlerahan player myself. I played in the 2011 final. The very best of luck to them. They has never won a senior championship excluding as part of the St. Marys amalgamation in 1976. The club doesn't have the strongest of GAA traditions compared to some other clubs within the county but a win would literally be historic. Kingscourt's experience combined with the brilliance of Niall Lynch will just pip this one. celt2018 (Cavan) - Posts: 157 - 02/10/2015 15:27:09 1795230 Link 0 |
Whats the story with Joe Dillon red card, it was at Ulster last night??? kerrylad02 (Kerry) - Posts: 1 - 09/10/2015 12:49:29 1797443 Link 0 |
Yeah it's at Ulster last I heard. They trying the infamous technicality route. Admitted his guilt by substituting him but still feel a right to get him of. doratheexplorer (Cavan) - Posts: 1467 - 09/10/2015 14:50:22 1797513 Link 0 |

Well the width of the post proved me wrong. I did say Mackey would be well marshaled and my MOTM Noel McIntyre did a great job on Mackey, Alan Clarke as usual worked for the full match. The Quiet Man (Cavan) - Posts: 4565 - 11/10/2015 19:05:21 1797855 Link 0 |

McIntyre definitely should have got motm. Didn't give Mackey a sniff. Enda O Connell also done great marking. Cormac Daly looks a prospect. doratheexplorer (Cavan) - Posts: 1467 - 12/10/2015 16:29:51 1798111 Link 0 |
