Dr Phil, why do you rate Drung as the worst team left in the competition? Is it because of their league position? to date they've played two championship matches and won both, including beating Laragh who are still in the competition, you can't do much more than that. aceofspades (Cavan) - Posts: 228 - 17/08/2015 14:39:29 1771452 Link 0 |
Ace of Spades Drung bet a poor Laragh team who by the way came back and nearly bet them at the end, if they had have had their two subs on at the start they would have bet Drung & Drung bet Redhills a side who possibly are the worst team in the entire championship who all year had no trainer or manager and yet Drung only bet them by 3 or 4 points if Drung were any good and were looking at winning the intermediate championship they should have bet Redhills by 15 or 20 points. From what I hear mulvey is back for the bridge so surely every one must fancy them to beat Ballyhaise now, he's a huge help to an already impressive side full of youth his experience should edge them over the line ! Belturbet have serious forwards that would challenge any back line even in the senior championship so they will take watching .... Cavanbyrd (Cavan) - Posts: 61 - 18/08/2015 17:41:29 1772173 Link 0 |
Cavanbyrd The Bridge got hammered on Sunday by Kill in a challenge. Both teams were missing no one. A team at the bottom of Division 3 and in the Junior Championship hammered them, now come on they are hardly going to win Intermediate Dara10 (Cavan) - Posts: 404 - 19/08/2015 13:55:39 1772511 Link 0 |
ace of spades Drung will win nothing Dara10 (Cavan) - Posts: 404 - 19/08/2015 14:18:03 1772536 Link 0 |
DARA10 , could you make your mind up please, earlier in this thread you said Arva would win the intermediate then you changed to Ballyhaise. You also said Redhills would beat Drung and when this didn't happen you then said Redhills were the worst team in the championship!!!It's funny how teams become poor and the worst in the competition after being beaten by Drung.Drung may well win nothing in this years championship but sure neither will 36 other clubs. aceofspades (Cavan) - Posts: 228 - 20/08/2015 10:09:07 1772959 Link 0 |
Ace of spades Arva or Ballyhaise should win the intermediate. They are in the last 8 after all. Dara10 (Cavan) - Posts: 404 - 20/08/2015 11:48:06 1773075 Link 0 |
Everyone seems to be forgetting Belturbet since they have yet to play a game in this years championship, They'll have a say in the intermediate yet Dr.Phil (Cavan) - Posts: 109 - 20/08/2015 13:03:33 1773165 Link 0 |
IFC is Ballyhaise's to loose, there isn't much between the other quarter finalists. I think Arva Ballyhaise Drumlane and Belturbet to make semi's with Ballyhaise beating Drumlane in the final cavan4ever (Cavan) - Posts: 234 - 20/08/2015 14:02:24 1773228 Link 0 |

There are some seriously strange posts on here. Agree with Mowbar, I wouldn't write off Arva although it would take a lot to win back to back Junior/Intermediate championships. They will believe that they can do it. But I think experience can play a factor at this stage and Ballyhaise must be in with a good shout if they can hold their nerve. The Bridge and Drumlane would be the other two that I would be watching out for. Reformation (Cavan) - Posts: 356 - 21/08/2015 11:48:13 1773736 Link 0 |
Swanlinbar showed great determination yesterday to come from behind to beat Killenkere. Really think they could have a big say in this championship yet Cavan_Ned (Cavan) - Posts: 85 - 24/08/2015 11:21:32 1775048 Link 0 |

I think Arva will be close in this if they click on the day. I don't know about Ballyhaise , every year on paper they should really be winning it , just seem to struggle with nerves when it rally matters and get caught out then on the big day. cavanman10 (Cavan) - Posts: 78 - 27/08/2015 18:00:56 1777235 Link 0 |
Think its Ballyhaise's to loose, Bridge and Bailieborogh haven't much chance of winning it but Drumlane/Swad/Belturbet/Arva with a bit of luck and right attitude could come close to Ballyhaise cavan4ever (Cavan) - Posts: 234 - 28/08/2015 10:30:19 1777365 Link 0 |
young caoimhin o'reilly could win this competition on his own for the bridge as he is in blistering form this year ! i fancy them this weekend , but i think that swad have gained some momentum and will win it all .......... Cavanbyrd (Cavan) - Posts: 61 - 28/08/2015 13:53:03 1777488 Link 0 |
