It's up to a club to table a motion of no confidence in the management and then a vote can be taken. Then we will know if the clubs want Terry to continue. Plain and simple!

I agree with all your saying its a shambles we had two keepers who trained with lads all year did you read gary rogers piece he and the selectors believe they dont need keepers who can stop shots they need out field player who can score frees well no harm to them but there choice missed more frees then he scored and has no communication with the players out field

If Terry stays on the whole thing will end in a bust-up and thats not what is needed going into what looks like a very difficult Div 2 campainge.... The supporters have voted with their feet as regards this set-up... Less than 10000 attended 3 home league games ( with us in contention for promotion ) and we were outnumbered at home in 2 Champ games.... If the CB dont see this as a serious problem then they are not fit for purpose...

Asitis. Last night in Down the manager survived a vote of confidence by 22 votes to 20. That's the way to do it. If results are bad like Down and Cavan results were well have a vote of confidence in the management . Not rocket science. If the clubs keep Terry in then fair enough it's their wish but if he out voted he got to go. It's the clubs that run football not any certain individual.

Well please God we'll have at least one more mowbar, and there'll be a vacancy in Cavan. Our game against Monaghan this year has been one of the games of the season so far, and we came the closer to beating them than Donegal did. This will not go unnoticed by potential managerial prospects. It's an attractive project for any man with the capabilities to finish it, because if something is not done to get us out of this rut, we are face a serious risk of spoiling a generation of talent. Additionally, it's important we change the manager to attract the exiles back.

And a lot of exiles as well you could easy bring back 20 that moved on or were dropped because they did not fit into a certain persons line of thought that are well capable of performing in the positions they are well used to playing at at club level. As much as I dislike Johnson I wonder is there two more years in him if yes and he is willing to commit I say why not we need to move on.

Terry should think long and hard about staying in as Cavan manager on.I hope the County board are not delaying the decision hoping that supporters will forget at the dismal championship gone by.To be badly beaten two years in a row on home turf by Roscommon just isn't good enough.A new manager makes an impact in the first two seasons.Terry has had his day and I thank him for that but we are at the end with him at the helm.Time for action before a generation of decent players are past it.Look at Fermanagh.they play a decent style of football with limited resources.Pete McGrath is the reason.The same team was going nowhere under Peter Canavan.A gud manager makes the difference.We are not as bad as it seems.We just need the right team on the line.I fear there will be no change.Why I don't know as supporters are staying away in their droves.its over to the county board to do something to stop the rot.

Yes it seems that Hyland has received the backing of the clubs and will continue for another year.

Now I have always resisted witch hunting and clearly some of the posters on here watch and read the UK media too much in terms of how they endorse sacking a manager on a weekly basis. That said, I really don't see how Terry staying for another year makes any sense. He has been a brilliant servant to Cavan football and nobody would argue that. We do however need a fresh approach, a new voice and a new system. My concern is that we have a talented bunch of players who are in their prime and while we know we need a bit more up front, this is a 'golden generation' of Cavan players.

But it seems that this will not happen. So when the dust settles in a few months, I hope that he can retain the dressing room and lead us forward next year.

Terry received the backing of the county committee not the clubs. The clubs didn't get a say as he was appointed for your years and want to serve out fourth year.

I was one of many who wanted a change but;

- he was initially given a 5 year term
- he has received the backing of the county board
- most importantly, it seems he has the backing of the players

So I will be fully behind Terry and the team in 2016. I just hope some of the guys who opted out this year return.

I heard a few players close to the management were asked? It seems there was not a full consultation with the players on the panel. But then there's a number of players in there seem to be guaranteed their places under this management so of course they are going to support them to stay. A more robust management might not guarantee their places. It's a bit like asking turkeys about voting for Christmas ?????
