we were 4 points up but couldn't beat Monaghan and you think we might get the better of Donegal, one of the top 3 teams in Ireland..

Yeah. I do think that. And Monaghan will beat Donegal comfortably I'd imagine.

I have kept away from the Forum for the last few months mainly because of the few Morons that have been posting Anti- Cavan posts. I really couldent be bothered because these few boys are not Cavan supporters. Every county has a few of them but Cavans seem to hog the limelight all the time. And sometime I wonder who these people are - I just wonder !!!I dont agree with everything that Terry has done but I dont go round continuously asking for him to be sacked. Lets give credit where it is due !!!!
Anyway I was in London and really enjoyed the weekend. Talking to several neutrals they were telling me that Cavan were the most impressive team that they saw visiting London. Have to agree as our lads seem to have shaken off a lot of the defensive football. It was delightful seeing Dara Mc Veety, Gearoid, Mackey and others tearing through the defence and scoring delightful points.
I was reading then from some posters that Martin Dunne, Conor Moynagh and Josh Hayes had left the panel. Utter rubbish as they were there taking a full part.
It was a great weekend and the only downside was the injury to Rory Dunne who was starring on big Lorcan up to that point. Killian Clarkes hamstring was another downer but hopefully he will be ok for Sat.
And I would also commend the players and management on their behaviour - made me proud to be a Cavan man.
As for next Sat. I think if we go at the Rossies I definately think we can win. The players have matured and there is always players ready to come in when asked.
So best of luck to the lads next Saturday.

Tipp won first 25 2-10 to 0-07, tipp won second my 2 points and cavan won last 15mins by 2 , how does that leave cavan win by 2 points ?

The last period was supposed to be 25 minutes but it was getting dark and you couldn't see whether the ball was over or wide (they were using jumpers for goalposts) so played 'next goal wins' and Cavan got it.

Didn't know that. Young Westmeath team then so. It's a wonder they don't boast that the future is maroon!

If they decide to play open football and attack I think they will play into Roscommon hands. With Rory gone who will fill his slot and I expect K Clarke will not last if the push comes to the shove. There is not a full match in Mackey or Lyng & Flannigan so who have we got replace these.
I predict Roscommon by 4 I hope I am wrong.

Martin McHugh said on The Sunday Game that Dublin recently played a challenge game against Cavan. Does anyone know anything about this. Where and when was it. Who played , how did it go etc.

That's not what I heard sean. In fact we drew with a full strength Dublin team (only missing Diarmuid Conolly). 0-19 apiece.

Anyway, I don't know why people are so fanatical to hear about challenge games, they are meaningless and are only used to try things out.

Anyone know who's refereeing the match on Saturday lads?

Pleas don't be Cormac Reilly or Marty Duffy.
