Good win but hopefully management learned lesson about tactics. Naively thinking they could just go out and play was a disaster. Changed it at half time. A good team would have killed us.

So it's Cavan v Derry in the final.
Should be close.

Best of luck to the U16's and especially the Minors on Sunday. Congrats to all involved in Juvenile football for helping to produce and develop such talented footballers. Hopefully they will carve out their own history as they progress through their careers. Wins and/or good performances on Sunday for both would signify that our conveyer belt is alive and functioning efficiently. Not all counties can say this so let's celebrate success at this crucial age group.

Ondforty...... And or good performance .. Look this is about winning we years and years having good performances at all levels . Let's start winning just winning learn how to win that's our problem of late at ALL levels . Few years ago a good performance sure wasn't it mighty! Well let's learn and get use to the winning mentality. Winning plain poorly winning playing well just winning. Let's get that mentality and message driven home to all our teams. Anybody can get to a final only ONE team can win it. Performances now are not enough we as good as the rest of them in Ulster so let's get some silverware

Awwwwnow, I get your drift, but a good team playing good football can be beaten narrowly on the day. That's why I say and / or. Take into account that the losers have a back door second chance so there's still scope for the cream to rise to the top if in fact they are the real deal, which I believe they are. They strike me as a team that could avail of a second chance if they had to.

I'm with you about a winning mentality. I have been preaching that point here for a while, i.e. that our youngsters need to experience the difference of winning over losing, what it takes to be a winner and how a winning mentality drives a good team through the last 10 mins of a tight game. My observation is that these lads have a winning mentality, cultivated from their coaching from U14 upwards. They are not stifled by negative football, but are not naive in defence either. They play a brand of football that I'd be happy to see at U21 and Senior level. I know things get a bit more cynical outside of minor level, but there's still plenty of room for a team that wants to play controlled positive football. Best of luck to them all.

The very best of luck to the minors this weekend, a very talented bunch of players, was stunned at the performance level against Monaghan. Forwards who play with their back to goal, forwards who run direct for the posts when they receive the ball. A manager with an attacking philosophy, the antithesis of what cavan football has been all about this past while.

We need to make sure these players do not fall into the wrong hands and have their ability coached out of them.

Best of luck.

Looks like game over already and it's still not half time. Derry 6 points clear and winning battles comfortably all over the field. Hope we can do something in the second half, but it's looking ominous. We're also playing with the wind.
