Mire chance of their intermediate team relegated to junior than their senior team to intermediate anyway so probably won't be an issue

You could be right. I am more of a Junior tipster, in more ways than one maybe.. But on checking back up the thread, I note I was the only poster brave enough to put up predictions for last weekend I think. The best of lads wudda got caught out with a few of them results I think. Anyways, this is what is definitely going to happen in Round 3... Shercock v Castlerahan - Castlerahan by 9 Lacken v Gowna - Gowna by 1 Lavey v Mullahoran - Lavey by 7 Ramor United v Crosserlough - Crosserlough by 5 Cootehill Celtic v Cavan Gaels - Cavan Gaels by 13 Killygarry v Kingscourt Stars - Killygarry by 1 PatTheDandy (Cavan) - Posts: 282 - 13/08/2019 14:05:37 2225129 Link 0 |
Don't think anyone could predict some of the senior results last weekend. Seems to be a very open championship with the exception of Crosserlough who really set down a marker last Saturday. Not much to separate the chasing pack. Anyway here's my go at predicting round three Shercock v Castlerahan - Castlerahan by 12 Lacken v Gowna - Lacken by 1 Lavey v Mullahoran - Lavey by 5 Ramor United v Crosserlough - Crosserlough by 3 Cootehill Celtic v Cavan Gaels - Cavan Gaels by 15+ Killygarry v Kingscourt Stars - Kingscourt by 2 westcavankid (Cavan) - Posts: 83 - 13/08/2019 15:40:49 2225161 Link 0 |
Some good results in the championship at the weekend, most notably Xlough win. What a marker they have lay down and are surely the ones to beat. SwadMan11 (Cavan) - Posts: 50 - 13/08/2019 16:20:47 2225172 Link 0 |
It's quite clear the difference in margin in top 5 or 6 senior teams down to top 2 or 3 teams of junior is obvious. Put Cootehill/mullahorn/shercock against knockbride or Killinkere or denn and nothing would be between the teams. At this stage senior champ for me would be crosserlough with gowna as dark horses. Intermediate is to hard to call to many teams that could beat each other on any other day. Ballinagh/ballyhaise maybe Belturbet in good form too but would not be surprised to see a dark horse like Cornafean or drumgoon make a mark this year either at same time it's that open. I'm actually going to call knockbride for junior ahead of Killinkere. lad09 (Cavan) - Posts: 239 - 13/08/2019 16:29:10 2225175 Link 0 |
Cootehill would be missing a few. Tom and Josh Hayes playing for Ballyboden now. McCucheon has been injured most of the year. He would be the biggest loss. Very good club footballer. FoolsGold (Cavan) - Posts: 2216 - 13/08/2019 17:39:14 2225207 Link 0 |

Can you honestly see Castlerahan vs Shercock being a draw. Personally can't see anything other than a big win for Castlerahan after they had a close call last week. Would expect Lavey to beat Mullahoran to but you'd get great odds on that double if it came in. westcavankid (Cavan) - Posts: 83 - 14/08/2019 09:48:08 2225417 Link 0 |
I know but shercock could have got something against xlough and now have a bit of momentum into next game. Lavey can blow hot and cold tom84 (Cavan) - Posts: 247 - 14/08/2019 18:46:05 2225755 Link 0 |
Is their anywhere I can find a list of top scorers from the championship or is their such a thing? Interested in seeing who's racking up the tallies for their clubs westcavankid (Cavan) - Posts: 83 - 15/08/2019 09:16:35 2225905 Link 0 |

2-1 from play against Lavey only came on at half time . 0-7 against Crosserlough 0-4 from frees . Only played 50 mins. Hope that answers your question . Inaroundehouse (Cavan) - Posts: 975 - 15/08/2019 13:07:25 2225991 Link 0 |

Well I believe it is 1-8 from placed balls and 1-2 from play.
