Replying To s goldrick:  "omg. are you serious. Have you seen any of Donegal's games this year ?. They stood toe-to-toe with Kerry,Mayo and Dublin. They are playing better football than they have been playing these past few years. They are more attack minded and break at pace. Paddy McBrearty is virtuallly unmarkable. Murphy is a powerhouse around the middle who mops up everything and starts all the attacks (he is also a dead-ball specialist. some of their "younger players" have improved no end. I honestly don't expect us to get within 10 points of them."
How much did half teams of Kerry and Dublin beat them by?
How many games did "powerhouse" Murphy play in the league?
They had half a Mayo team beaten at home in a must win game and blew it.
The only team they beat got relegated with them.
They are a shadow of their former selves and hopefully Sunday will prove that.

That's nearly the whole team out now,
It's unbelievable that we could lose so many.

If you loose any more players it will be a really short year.

Sorry everyone, I was just having a bit of a laugh. The 3 players I mentioned are not injured to my knowledge. I guess I'm just tired of all this speculation and hearsay about injuries.
I've heard (and I hope) that a lot of it is mind games. My sincere apologies again.

Not trying to be petty but in 98 we lost to Donegal in the semi who then lost to Derry in the final via a late brolly goal

Folks

We lost to Armagh in 2004, to Tyrone in 2001, Ulster Final, I think we lost to Donegal in 2002, shortly after the hammering we took in the League Final, and Antrim in 2003.

Anyone in the know fit to hazard an educated guess at what team Mattie will start all injuries taken into account?

Heard a strange rumour that James Farrelly may start in the full forward line? Never saw him playing outfield before but apparently does for Kingscourt the odd time and is being looked at as a wild card target man...

Would definitely be a bold move!

The more I hear about the training Donegal are putting in I think they are going to win this pulling up. They paid no attention to April been a club month and have been pulling up tree's in training from a very close source.

Ah come on now. If we do that we are as well to stat at home.

You'd hope we'll be a lot closer than 10 points but it is a bit of a worry that if we don't hit the ground running and if Donegal get their tails up early we could be in for a very difficult afternoon especially if it's a very inexperienced championship team.
It's very hard to call without knowing the lineups. I'd be a big fan of this Donegal panel and I think if someone like Jim McGuinness was over them I wouldn't give us much of a chance. I'm not sure if Bonner is the right man to get the most out of them though and traditionally they don't always show up for championship either. The same can be said for us too but I was hoping we'd change that this year especially after our early league showing. But injuries have dampened my hopes a bit. But you never know. We'll go in positive mood and maybe some new championship blood might not be such a bad thing if we are to buck the trend. Good luck to all for Sunday.

He was talking about their weekend away training down the country.
When Donegal train at home they switch it to various club grounds and also the beach so it's kinda impossible to know . Because they even switch training venues at short notice.
And they have always done that even before McGuinness time

Pulling up trees? Surely this is a breach of some environmental law? Additionally I'd imagine it's a very dangerous activity for your back, there must be a few injuries going around as a result?

;)
