The late John Duggan was a member of the Drung team that won the 1947 championship. He also played for Redhills and Ballyhaise. John served Ballyhaise as chairman and also refereed after ending his playing career. Members of Drung and Ballyhaise GAA clubs contributed to the Guard of Honour.
