Sean sadly passed away in June last, bringing a great sense of loss to his family, local community and Cootehill Celtic GAA.

Sean was a former long-time club treasurer and a valuable and respected supporter since coming to the town from his native Clare in 1959.

He was instrumental in the raising of funds and the purchase and development of lands to the rear of Market Street in Cootehill which became Hugh O'Reilly Park.

His straight talking, ability with figures and his generosity meant that he was a God-send to the Celts.

Deepest sympathy goes to his wife Brid and children Michael, Deirdre, Jack, Brian and Finola, his extended family, relations and friends.
