Dominic's sudden death at his residence at Kildorough shocked a lot of people in June last.
He was a former curator of Cavan County Museum in Ballyjamesduff.
A native of Clare, Dominic was raised in Quilty and not long before his death, he received an invitation from Quilty GAA to join them in their centenary celebrations.
Dominic won an Under 14 championship medal with Quilty, something which he treasured.
His love of the GAA saw him, with the support of others, set up a GAA section within the county museum.
He played an active role in the 50th anniversary celebrations of the 1947 Polo Grounds all-Ireland victory over Kerry.
During his period in Australia he acted as umpire in Aussie Rules games.
Back on home soil, he was involved with Castlerahan GFC where his two sons got great enjoyment at underage level.
Deepest sympathy is extended to his wife Renee, sons Lochlann and Redmond and his sister Veronica and his extended family and many friends.
