St Pats played well in Newry tonight. Game could have went either way.

Very poor result taking into consideration the list of Mc Rory panel/team players from the past two years and the county minor panel members present on the pitch.

The opposition would not be rated in the competition and the loss would be considered a major upset.

St Colmans have a good history but were not expected to be world beaters this time around, their recent history is nothing to shout about though and this is reflected in the Down underage and even senior teams at the present,St Colmans main men mainly Armagh lads. .History is not that relevant in schools football,I see Patricians Carrickmacross beat the real Ulster Colleges kingpins St Pat's Maghera at the weekend too. The northern colleges compete to bring the best talent to the school from a 40 mile radius in some cases.St Pat's Cavan did the same winning the McRory two years ago.A very high standard required with a good number of 18yr olds on the team required to win it usually.

dont know how you can say St Colmans arent going to do anything this year, clearly showing that you know very little. that team has won a dalton cup and contested in corn na nog final. they were also beaten by winners in the 4th year competition. clearly seeing the talent on show saturday night do you really think they won't make a challenge. ps were you even at the game.

Lot of armchair fans here Armagh gael. Now I wasn't at the game but I wouldn't lower myself to pass comment on an underage team losing in A SCHOOLS COMP even if I was at it. Unfortunately our county has a cohort of bitter pseudo fans who love knocking their own county. I'm sure Colmans as of every year will be a challenge to whoever they meet in next round.
