Ah 97 and the scorer of the point that wasn't???? where was he from?? also we had donegal men long before 97.Sure part of our football tradition is built around lads from outside the county. aceofspades (Cavan) - Posts: 228 - 18/09/2015 18:02:11 1789114 Link 0 |
Sceptical.... I'd say you would struggle to name the Cavan hurler who played mid-field in division 4 before moveing to Cork for work reasons and then takeing his place at centerfield for Cork in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship...?? I dont think you would be brave enough to call him a 'B' player...!!!!! Sean66 (Cavan) - Posts: 440 - 19/09/2015 16:43:42 1789300 Link 0 |
I heard the final ended a draw - when is the replay? Surely extra-time would have been the sensible option given that this was a replay and there is the ulster club next weekend? geoff (Tyrone) - Posts: 377 - 28/09/2015 13:45:51 1793090 Link 0 |
Replay at 8pm on Wednesday night Geoff, in order for the Ulster club match to be played on Sunday. And you know right well that GAA rules state that a final must go to a replay first if it ends in a draw. Not something that can be decided there and then. Thanks Loughduff. But was that not already a replay, hence my point about extra time? geoff (Tyrone) - Posts: 377 - 29/09/2015 08:07:37 1793361 Link 0 |
Hi Geoff. No, that was the original final, not a replay, so definitely no extra time. The teams played before, but earlier on in the championship. Loughduff Lad (Cavan) - Posts: 986 - 30/09/2015 12:42:18 1794180 Link 0 |
