Talentspotters wanted for Cavan Senior team players

(Oldest Posts First)

Tomsmith here

I feel that with our U21 due to seek is it 5 All Ireland titles our St Pats winning the Mc Roary cup that we need talent spotters to assist our county senior selectors.
If you see a player that you think merits a second look or indeed should be in the panel I feel it should be made known to the powers that be

Well tom, I know everyone is talking about Thomas Galligan after his performance in the MacRory but his older brother is also a quality player and he has been known to lord midfield. Galligans are known to be horrendously slow but I heard he was in the fold for the dcu setup. Powerful and contests every high ball, something that Cavan are lacking for kickouts. Should be atleast looked at.

The best part of these is not the fact that the tomahawk puts up these posts designed to get a response. What i find most amusing is that new posters keep appearing to back him up. Either our tomas has way to much time and too many alter egos OR yous cant see a joker for what he is. For god sake lads if you ignore him then eventually our noble friend will realise that having a discussion with yojrself is a large step on the road to insanity.

well Mike I am always delighted to see new posters and particularly elated that your first post is in response to my endeavours to take on board talent spotters. You do state that the Galligans are slow but your observations are spot on but I feel with the loss of David Givney that we could do with a big fielder even he is slow. Keep up the good work and as I said your post is very intelligent . As for you sceptical and your observations in relation to insanity I will make no comment, I leave it to others to Judge you

Hi Tom . Talent spotting is a very expensive business what with the price of petrol , admission fees , tea and a sandwich etc . Say for argument sake I was to discover the next big thing should I hold onto my receipts just in case the co board might see fit to reimburse me . How was your experience in this area . Were you compensated for all those trips to Mountnugent ?
