The following players showed excellent form at the trials and Ulster league games (even in the absence of many who made the final starting 15 due to injury, etc at the time)
-Sean O Connor Cootehill - Super half forward who had an excellent year on the Cootehill intermediate championship winning team of 2014. Sean was actually on the county minor panel for 2014 and showed super promise for the future. Sean showed up well during trials and Ulster league games.
-Daire Mc Enroe Castlerahan - Over six foot tall and one of the best under age forwards since he was U13. Again also on the panel for 2014 and came on as a sub V's Armagh but based on his performance during trials and Ulster league games would have been a serious player to support the efforts against a big (in stature) Derry team. Imagine if Cavan could have left David Brady at midfield with Daire playing as a forward.
-Adam Rehill Mountnugent - Over six and a half foot tall with a unique ability with fielding and fast hands. Again against a big Derry team Adam would have provided much need aerial ability and demonstrated this during play time this year
-Aodhgan Watters Ballyhaise - Yet again another six foot plus player who has been prominent at division 1 underage football since U13. An attacking half back/half forward who played well during trials and in Ulster games was a superb attacking ball player who scored 1 goal and 2 points despite only getting 1 and a bit Ulster league game time. Competent ball carriers were missing out of the team in the Ulster final in 2015 and evident in all successful inter county teams.
-Breffni Mc Kiernan Swad - Another six footer who has an immense mobility around the field and again played extremely well during his afforded time on the pitch in 2015. Breffni is a brother of Gearoid Mc Kiernan but in his own merit through trials/games deserved a place on the final 24 man panel.
I am not sure if James Brady - Ramor, Killian Maguire - Ramor, Cian Carolan - Laragh, were included in the final 24 man panel but it would be interesting to find out for sure ?
Well worth noting that the first win for Cavan in the Ulster league of 2015 included many of the above !!!!!
1789986 I would imagine that Danny and Larry have more experience and knowledge about these players, what they wanted from them, how they were going in training and about Gaelic Football in general than anyone who spends their time posting on Hoganstand. I have also yet to see a player mentioned who was definitively better than someone on the panel.
JonSmith-at 1276 posts you spend quite a bit on time posting yourself !!!

Yes indeed, I include myself among the people that don't know as much about these Minors as Danny and Larry.
Look, you have a grand total of 10 posts, you only joined the board within the last few months. But you claim to have been at several challenge matches and Ulster League matches of the Minors. Given that you haven't commented on anything but this topic leads me to believe you are were either involved in the panel at some stage or have a family member or friend who is or was.
You seem to think you know exactly what and who it takes to win an Ulster title/All Ireland title at this level. You should go about getting involved and put your energy into something constructive like management instead of criticising players and management over the internet.
