Club Managers

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Of course that is buried in the yearly accounts but some of them have built houses and paid for cars out of their fee's. But fair play to them if the system allows it to go on. Still you need to have some pair of you know whats to go to a neighbouring club and demand 70 - 90 a pop per session

70 to 90 that's cheap compared to what a local club was quoted by a mildly experienced manager, €150 a session + games and lived within 10 miles of the club...frankly its disgusting the epidemic of managers essentially supplementing their income tax free, while any other member of the public would have to declare this,...but the GAA are protecting these guys...im all for mileage, and food expenses, but figures we are talking horrify me..

Agreed most managers that are outsiders are in it for the few handy quid. From my experience they don't really care about the club once they are getting paid..

An alternative method that our club has used is on the basis of performance of the season and pay is determined on that. It can work as the pressure is on if they are looking for a sum come the end of the year
