For years I have seen quality players walk away not because they had not got the commitment but because of their type of work or studies, they were given no choice yes no choice by management so the majority decided they will play for their clubs but not the county. I watched grown men and ladies cry because they had to walk away over an individual that did not have man/woman management. Just an observation or a point of view TELL me how many managers have done man/woman management, maybe it's time when bringing managers in that they understand what player management is as well. You mention player power it's ugly many on here will have experienced it in one way or another. It's hateful. I have witnessed it first hand so I know what it's like. So Mackey,Thomas Galligan and Conor Redhill not playing County next year either. Mackey was a top player, great guile and intelligence on the ball. He saved Cavan In drawn Armagh game.
