Best wishes to the team tomorrow, hopefully, our lucky ground will remain so and that we will see a performance from the team that will make us proud a result that will shock the Nation!

Good to see Mackey starting tomorrow - I would let him run at the defence and leave Johnston inside ( whats the point in bringing him -SJ - out around midfield at this stage of his career just to slow things up - we need his ability inside to get scores especially goals because we ll need a couple at least to have any chance )
Don't know whats happening with Mc Veety - our supposedly best player - I think he s lost his way this last few games
I would also have Caoimhin o Reilly on every time - don't know why they never give him a full game - he may not be the best at tracking back but everyone cant be the same - he s a class forward and someone else we could loose if we re not carefull

As has been highlighted already here, Tyrone are not what they were.
Both qualifier rounds to date have seem periods when they struggle.

There's no reason why a well organised Cavan unit cannot capitalize on this.

They are beatable.

...see you in the Big Tree ahead of the Super 8 O'Classico.

Come on Cavan ..nothing to loose at this stage ..give it a good Rattle ..no harm being defensive when required but 15 in your own half and not marking men or putting in tackles makes no sense..we were blessed last week with cards , lucky goals and Down misses ....believe and lets retire mickey Harte like we did with Sean Boylan ..

All the best to the lads today. Pressure is off in sone respects, no one gives us a chance so why not go out full throttle and tear into them and see where it brings us.

To the cavan support. Get off yer lazy holes today and get to Brewster. Whatever you think of our chances these young men have bust themselves training all year for cavan football. They deserve your support. They deserve respect. No excuses, get to Brewster.

Nice try fred but nobody with an ounce of cop on is going to drive down to Brewster park...pay €20 in and then be bored to death with the rubbish that will be on show...unless you agree with that type of football and going by the attendance last Saturday not too many agree with it....

Well your ex manager thinks we can win. Let's see . He never did talk much sense in interviews . Maybe that will change today. Time will tell. Best of luck to both players and management .

Worst possible result as it probably ensures another year for Mcgleenan. Make no mistake, an unremarkable Tyrone team were in 3rd gear and still beat us, never trailling throughout.

Hats off to Gearoid by the way, his best senior championship performance for Cavan, man of the match.

Hard luck to the lads today, the gave it everything (something that's never been in question all year).

Gearoid was immense! One of the best performances I've seen in a Cavan jersey in some time.

Thought Coldrick gave Tyrone 2 very soft frees early in the 2nd half and denied us one after the late hit on Seanie at the end of the first.

Hugely frustrating to see us run into the crowded centre of the tyrone defence - they were vulnerable down the flanks.

Tyrone will make the super 8s if they don't draw roscommon. They won't make the all ireland semi finals.

How does losing the game ensure another year for McGleenan?

I would have thought any sort of defeat today would signal the end of his reign.

He's had two years and the facts are in terms of the league, we are in exactly the same place as we were when he took over (newly promoted to Div 1). As regards championship, two years, no wins in Ulster, and didn't make it past the last 16 in the qualifiers.

In addition, we have a plethora of experienced players not committing to the cause.

I'm sure most supporters are expecting a change?

Absolutely chronic performance, style , and effort . Never put a tackle in. Playing Johnston between the 2 -45s mindboggling. Bringing in a big full forward and not once kicking the ball into him. Backwards, sideways any way except forward.
We have had this 1-13-1 style for the last 6/7 years . It's now changed to 1-14-0. Madness. Embarrassing .

Hard to be positive but one thing that has being good is Gearoid finally playing well in big games. McVeety was good. I also thought Fergal Reilly won his battle well.

The lads gave it a decent rattle.....started both halves well, and then regressed.....5-5 on 20 mins and 9-5 down at ht. Another spell in the second half where we didnt score for 12 minutes.

Sloppy turnovers were punished.....and there was a lot......Big man come on at FF at ht, and no ball goes in. Was expecting a heavy defeat. But Mattie showed again hes out of his depth. Numbers back at times, for the sake of it, rather than in any sort of organised fashion.
