Former Derry minor star Conor Glass is set to return home next week after announcing his AFL retirement last month.
Glass, who turned 23 earlier this week, has spent the last four years with the Hawthorn Football Club in Melbourne, making 21 appearances in the AFL, before calling time on his career Down Under 11 days ago.
RTE Sport reports today that the Maghera native is due home next week and that he remains open to selection by Derry should manager Rory Gallagher decide on it.
The Oak Leafers are set to resume their 2020 Allianz League campaign against Longford on October 17 before taking on Armagh in their UIster SFC opener at the beginning of next month.
